Today we’d like to introduce you to Aderinsola Oyebade
Hi Aderinsola, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Infuzed.co is my third attempt at building a business. In 2020, at the age of 17 and in the midst of the pandemic, I decided to officially take the plunge into entrepreneurship. I started with a bonnet business called “BeautiebyElle,” and soon after, I expanded into selling African wear made in Nigeria under the brand “Orekelewa.” Balancing two businesses was challenging.
In 2021, I took a break because I felt a lack of fulfillment and hadn’t received clear guidance from God to continue. What I thought would be a brief hiatus turned into a two-year pause. During this time, I stepped in to help manage my mom’s catering business, becoming more hands-on and supportive.
Then, one day, in 2023, inspiration struck. I excitedly told my dad, “Dad, hear me out, I have an idea.” That spark of excitement led to the birth of Infuzed.co. Six months later, Infuzed.co was launched, and now, a year after its inception, it is clear that this was a God-inspired venture. The journey has been incredible, and I am grateful for the guidance and support that led me here.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The initial struggle for me was actually managing my time. Believe it or not, I still work a 9-5 job and have various responsibilities at home, to myself, and even in church! Managing my time and fitting into my new CEO life was tough. Building a business from scratch meant doing everything myself because I was not yet at the point where I can outsource. So, for the whole first year, I had to do it all on my own.
I can’t forget the community that stood by me though—my siblings, parents, and the people who genuinely love me and will go through whatever it is with me! They made it a bit easier. And I definitely can’t forget the burns! For the first six months, I was burning myself almost every day with pots and pans. I just wasn’t used to being in the kitchen that long or handling the pressure of fulfilling orders!
But, through it all, God has been my rock. For my seemingly heavy struggles, He gave me strength and has been my help through and through.
