Inspiring Conversations with Alexandria Hurley of Cirrus Aviation Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Hurley.

Hi Alexandria , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Of course. I’m originally from a small town in West Virginia and went on to attend the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!), where I earned my undergraduate degree in Integrated Strategic Communications with a focus on public relations. It was there that I first fell in love with storytelling, media strategy, and the power of thoughtful communication to shape perception and drive impact.

Wanting to deepen that foundation, I later earned my Master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations and Public Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to work across hospitality, travel, corporate, and high-end consumer sectors, partnering with well-known brands and executives on everything from major launches to high-stakes issues and crisis communications.

That journey ultimately led me to my current role as Head of Public Relations and Communications at Cirrus Aviation Services. Today, I oversee our earned media, internal communications, and public affairs efforts, bringing together strategic storytelling, message discipline, and reputation management to support the company’s continued growth and evolution. It’s been incredibly rewarding to apply everything I’ve learned over the years to help shape a brand in such a dynamic and fast-moving industry.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
HA! A smooth road… well, the short answer is no. I’ve definitely had my fair share of lessons along the way. PR is a high-stakes, high-stress field — we’re reputation protectors, crisis navigators, and media strategists all rolled into one. I often joke that sometimes PR is part ER… and part HR. We’re constantly managing both internal and external challenges for our clients and organizations.

The pace of the industry itself can be a struggle. With publications constantly opening and closing, print media shrinking, fewer journalists covering more beats, and the demand for top-tier coverage higher than ever, it’s fiercely competitive to earn meaningful media coverage. Add in the post-COVID shifts, remote work, hybrid schedules, and the ever-changing digital landscape, it’s a lot to keep up with.

The older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve learned to navigate it without letting it define me. The key is keeping up with the times — not sinking, not racing, but treading at a steady pace.

Each challenge has been a lesson in strategy, adaptability, resilience and ultimately, those lessons are what have shaped the PR professional I am today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Cirrus Aviation Services is one of the leading private aviation management and charter companies in the U.S., HQ’d in Las Vegas, and since late 2025, we’ve expanded into Dallas Love Field as our first major out-of-region market.

As Head of PR and Communications, I get to share how we combine operational and safety excellence with a deeply personalized approach to private travel.

We’re proud to offer our latest innovative initiative, Theos, our members-only buy-the-seat program, which allows frequent travelers to fly flexibly while enjoying curated, exclusive experiences, from Napa Valley wine trips to Coachella and Sundance. We also focus on strategic partnerships and are the official private aviation partner of the Vegas Golden Knights, providing the ultimate regional away-game fan experience. Stay tuned — we may be ideating Dallas-specific and regional Texas fan experiences in the near future (wink-wink).

What sets us apart is our ability to deliver a fully tailored journey for every client, supported by our dedicated team — from maintenance and air traffic controllers to concierge and transportation partners.

We’re especially excited to bring a touch of Vegas-style hospitality to Dallas, blending our hallmark attention to detail with the city’s southern charm. Everything is bigger in Texas, and we’re thrilled to be a part of the thriving local private aviation community.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Absolutely! It takes a full team; no one person can move the needle alone. Success comes from strategic hires and strong collaborators, and I often think of it as chess, not checkers. Our President Eric Grilly, CEO Greg Woods, VP of Guest Experiences Travis Turner, and CMO Brian Kip have all played crucial roles in the company’s growth, as well as in the success of our PR and marketing initiatives.

Cirrus is family-owned and founded, with the Woods family building the company one plane at a time. Their hard work, grit, and vision have brought Cirrus to where it is today, as the largest private aviation firm in Nevada and one of the leading operators in the U.S.

While I help tell the story, the team is always actively narrating it with me.
