Hi Allison, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Founder and Lead Designer for POSH Home, I have completed the most comprehensive and intensive home staging and redesign certification course in North America provided by the Home Staging Resource which is headquartered in San Diego, California. Additionally, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas Tech University as well as taking several design courses throughout the years to stay on top of the latest design trends and styles.
Having a passion for design and decorating since I was young, and combining my love for real estate, staging and design is the perfect fit for me! Prior to staging, I spent several years in the mortgage industry followed by almost 20 years of entrepeneurship in branding, graphic design and print. With this vast knowledge of finance, color, spacial placement and design in my background and a love for everything home, the vision of POSH Home Staging & Redesign was ignited.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have always said — Entrepreneurship is not for the weak of heart! Smooth road? There are many challenges and endless hours you put in beyond the typical 9-5 job. It takes guts, commitment, some stubbornness, creativity, determination, a strong support system and passion.

There is not “Easy Button” to owning your own business. The biggest take always for me are two fold — listen and hear what your client is saying verbally AND more so what is not said out loud; and secondly, continue to always learn new things! You business grows when you grow.
