Today we’d like to introduce you to Alshon Rose.
Hi Alshon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Put it on a Shirt Dallas started with a simple idea: turning creativity into something people can actually wear and enjoy. I’ve always had a passion for design and storytelling, and custom apparel gave me the perfect outlet to merge those two. In the beginning, it was just me experimenting with different printing techniques, doing small jobs for friends, local businesses, and events.
Over time, I realized there was a real demand for high-quality, custom-made shirts that didn’t just look good but also told a story. That’s when I invested in better equipment, studied the craft more seriously, and began building relationships with clients who appreciated not just the product, but the process.
Today, Put it on a Shirt Dallas has grown into more than just a printing company—we’re a creative hub. We give people the ability to bring their vision to life, whether that’s for a brand, a business, an event, or simply self-expression. Every shirt is a canvas, and I take pride in helping people put their ideas into the world in a tangible, wearable way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. On the creative side, making great shirts came naturally, but the business side has been a whole different learning curve. One of the biggest challenges has been finding trustworthy people to do business with—whether that’s partners, vendors, or even clients. Not every opportunity is the right one, and I’ve had to learn how to protect both myself and the brand.
Another lesson was realizing that running a business is so much more than just having a website or a logo. It’s about systems, relationships, customer service, and being consistent every single day. There were times I thought a nice online presence would be enough, but the real work comes in building connections and delivering on promises.
Those struggles have shaped how I run Put it on a Shirt Dallas today—more intentional, more careful about who I work with, and more focused on building something solid for the long term
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Put it on a Shirt Dallas?
Put it on a Shirt Dallas is a custom apparel company that specializes in bringing people’s ideas to life through high-quality printing. We focus on T-shirts, but we also work with a range of apparel and merchandise. What sets us apart is the fact that we don’t just print designs—we work with our clients to make sure the end result reflects their vision, whether that’s for a brand, business, event, or personal expression.
We’re known for being flexible and creative. Our customers can design in real time on our website, or they can work directly with us if they need help shaping their ideas. We offer multiple printing methods, so we can pivot based on what fits the project best—whether that’s screen printing, DTG, DTF, or other options.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that we’ve built something personal and authentic. This isn’t a mass-production shop that treats every order the same. We take time with each project and add a personal touch, and I think that’s why so many of our customers keep coming back.
At the end of the day, Put it on a Shirt Dallas is about more than just apparel—it’s about creating something people can wear with pride. I want readers to know that when they work with us, they’re not just buying a shirt; they’re collaborating on a piece of wearable art.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about Dallas is the energy and opportunity here. It’s a city full of creativity, culture, and diversity, which makes it a great place for a business like mine. People in Dallas aren’t afraid to support local entrepreneurs, and there’s always something new happening that keeps the city moving forward.
What I like least is how competitive and fast-paced it can be at times. In a city this big, it’s easy for small businesses to get overlooked if they don’t push hard to stand out. But honestly, even that challenge has a silver lining—it keeps me sharp and motivates me to keep elevating Put it on a Shirt Dallas.
