Hi Amber, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into insurance is rooted in a long career built on relationships, trust, and helping people make confident decisions. With 25 years of experience in real estate and insurance, I naturally transitioned into insurance full time after years of seeing firsthand how important the right coverage is when life changes happen. Over time, my focus became less about transactions and more about protecting families and what they’ve worked hard to build. That passion ultimately led me to Brightway, where my goal is to make insurance simple, personal, and dependable. Today, I’m especially proud to work alongside my daughter, Brooke, a licensed insurance agent who brings a strong background in sales and customer service and a shared commitment to exceptional client care. Together, we’ve built a family-driven agency centered on trust, long-term relationships, and guiding clients with confidence at every stage of life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced challenges along the way—learning new systems, navigating an ever-changing insurance market, and building a business while maintaining a high level of personal service. Transitioning fully into insurance required stepping outside my comfort zone and adapting quickly to industry shifts, rate changes, and increased competition. Balancing growth with family responsibilities also came with its own challenges, but those experiences strengthened my resilience and clarified my purpose. Each obstacle became a learning opportunity that helped shape how I lead today—focused, adaptable, and deeply committed to doing what’s best for my clients.

Our business is built around one simple belief: insurance should feel clear, personal, and supportive—not confusing or transactional. We specialize in helping individuals and families find the right coverage for their homes, vehicles, and life, taking the time to truly understand their needs rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions. What sets us apart is our relationship-first approach and our ability to shop multiple carriers to find coverage that balances protection and value. We’re known for being accessible, responsive, and honest, especially when clients are navigating major life changes or unexpected situations. Brand-wise, I’m most proud that our agency is family-driven and trust-based—clients know they’re working with people who genuinely care and will be there long after the policy is written. I want readers to know that when they work with us, they’re not just getting insurance; they’re gaining a long-term partner committed to protecting what matters most at every stage of life.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that trust and relationships matter more than anything else. Skills, products, and strategies can always be learned or adjusted, but integrity, consistency, and genuinely caring about people are what build a lasting business. When you focus on doing the right thing for clients—even when it’s not the easiest or most profitable choice in the moment—you create loyalty, referrals, and long-term success. That mindset has guided every decision I’ve made and continues to shape how I serve my clients and grow my brand.
