Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Cacho.

Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Andrea, and I arrived in the United States from Buenos Aires, Argentina, 25 years ago, in December of 2000, with my husband and our three young children. We began our life in this beautiful country working in sales for a company. Over time, I felt the desire to build something of my own and began cleaning houses to support our family.
For many years, I carried a dream in my heart of opening a café, a small place where I could share the authentic, homemade flavors of my country. At that time, the opportunity did not present itself, but the dream never left me. Life continued, responsibilities grew, and I placed that vision on hold, even though it remained deeply alive within me.

About eight years ago, when my weekly income began to decline, I looked for new ways to strengthen our family’s financial stability. While continuing my cleaning services, I started preparing and selling traditional Argentine food to neighbors, friends, and family. What began as a simple idea quickly turned into something much bigger. Our community embraced and supported me wholeheartedly, placing weekly orders and coming to my home to pick them up.

Nearly three years later, my oldest son, Sebastián, made the generous decision to invest in our family dream and helped finance the opening of our first location in Keller. This happened in 2020, during the pandemic, a time filled with uncertainty and challenges. It was one of the most demanding moments of our journey, but through faith, love, and patience, we persevered.

Today, we are grateful to have a second location in Flower Mound, which we proudly opened in February of 2023. Through the years, we have remained deeply committed to quality, authenticity, and care in every detail. We are honored to be a five star rated business, a reflection of the trust our customers place in us and the consistency of our work. Despite facing difficult moments, including the challenges of the pandemic, we never lost sight of our values.

We import key ingredients directly from Argentina to ensure that every bite delivers a truly authentic flavor. Everything we make is prepared by hand, fresh every day, with no industrial processes and no mass production. We are not a chain. What we offer is genuinely homemade, just like food made in our own kitchen. Our empanadas are gourmet, crafted with care, tradition, and passion.

We also focus on the experience beyond the food itself. Each order is presented in thoughtfully designed boxes that include all the necessary information, allowing our customers to feel comfortable, confident, and welcomed when they open their boxes at home. Every detail matters to us because we believe that food is not only about taste, but about connection and warmth.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my family, our dedicated team, and the incredible community that has believed in us from the very beginning. I continue walking this path with humility and gratitude, learning every day and trusting that dreams can become reality. Our purpose has always been to give our best and to put our heart into every product we create.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been easy. Nothing ever is when you arrive in a new country. Even while pursuing your dreams, you leave behind many tears. The pandemic was the greatest challenge we have faced. Even though in the end you see that it was worth it, it still comes with its share of pain.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next five to ten years, I see the food industry continuing to evolve toward more personalized and authentic experiences. Customers are increasingly looking for artisanal, high-quality products with a cultural background that are prepared with care. People want food that tells a story and connects them to traditions, even in a fast-paced world.
I also believe there will be a growing emphasis on sustainability and transparency. Consumers want to know where ingredients come from, how food is prepared, and that businesses are making responsible choices. For us, this fits perfectly with our philosophy of importing ingredients directly from Argentina and maintaining handcrafted preparation every day.
I believe the future will reward businesses that combine authenticity, creativity, and attention to detail. Those who can offer genuine and memorable experiences will stand out. For us, it is about continuing to innovate while staying true to our roots, creating flavors and moments that people will remember and share with others.
