Hi Angelica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Angelica White. I am the founder & CEO of The Authentik Life, a women empowerment company. I am a woman of faith, wife, mother of two, entrepreneur & SURVIVOR. I have overcome a myriad of challenges. From childhood molestation, divorce, losing a parent, financial struggles to the everyday journey of raising a special needs child. I am empowered to help other women who are currently going through a dark season. Authentik Life brand was birthed from the challenges that I have overcome and from my passion for talking to women who haven’t always been dealt the best hand or have made choices that steered them in an unplanned direction. I believe young women need to hear the stories of REAL women and find comfort in knowing they don’t have to be perfect.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy. The whole premise of our brand is overcoming challenges and empowering women to persevere. It took time for me to understand that all the prior challenges, mishaps, and obstacles occurred to help prune refine but also provide me the insatiable passion to help other women going through a dark season in life. Prior to creating Authentik Life, I was a very ambitious, driven real estate professional. Which is a very competitive industry and the chase for success can be intoxicating. Honestly, I use to love the thrill and energy the industry provided. It wasn’t until life began to shift in an unplanned direction that forced me to pivot into my purpose. So yes, it was not my intention but I do believe it was my divine purpose. One of the biggest struggles was finding the strength to share my story. The Authentik Life brand is built on authenticity, so not wanting to share the challenges I have overcome was out of the question. After sharing my story on our podcast. I quickly realized the power in sharing. I received so many emails messages saying how sharing my story encouraged them and empowered them to keep going. There is peace in being seen and knowing you are not alone.
