Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoinette Walton.
Antoinette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a little girl, I was not confident in myself or my abilities. As I grew into my teenage years, my self-esteem really got low. However, as an adult, I had many women to look up to that encouraged and empowered me. Then I had 3 little girls, and I started seeing some of the things I saw in myself. Seeing this made me realize that it is important to build up women and girls and empower them to be their best selves. So, I created We Empower Her to bridge that gap in 2021.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The struggles I have encountered is staying consistent and not being discouraged when things don’t go the way I expect.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We Empower Her is a women’s Empowerment nonprofit organization. We Empower women by hosting events to give back to the community, such as hygiene Bag packing and Mother’s Day give away. We also educate women on various aspects of life such as domestic violence to financial awareness.

I’m also proud that we recently received a community impact award for our footprint in the community.
What were you like growing up?
I was a very talkative girl. I was pretty smart, but I didn’t always believe in myself and my abilities. I was an avid reader and loved to learn.
