Today we’d like to introduce you to Arabella Trasca
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve known since the age of six that I wanted to be a makeup artist. My journey began when my family left Romania for Germany, seeking a better life. As a little girl, I would wander through our small German neighborhood, asking girls if I could apply blue eyeshadow on them in exchange for chocolate. Even then, beauty fascinated me—it was my way of connecting with people, even before I truly understood the power of transformation.
Coming from an immigrant family that later moved to Canada, I learned the value of hard work and resilience early on. My parents instilled in me a deep sense of discipline, and I carried that with me as I pursued my passion for makeup. Determined to turn my love for beauty into a career, I studied the craft, worked with top brands, and eventually took a bold leap at just 25 years old—I became a freelance makeup artist, building my own clientele.
At the time, being a makeup artist wasn’t the glamorous profession it is today. It was barely considered a career. I remember people constantly asking me, “But what’s your real job?” That only fueled my determination. I poured my heart into my work, growing my reputation to the point where I was soon working with top editorial teams, gracing magazine covers, and doing makeup for some of Canada’s biggest VIPs. Before I knew it, I was traveling the world with my clients as an international makeup artist.
Through my years in the industry, I saw a gap in the beauty market—products that truly enhanced the skin while complementing makeup. This inspired me to create The Ultimate Glow and The Ultimate Glow Lit Mist, skincare essentials that quickly gained recognition, being featured in magazines and TV shows.
After building a thriving career in Canada, I felt a new calling. Just three months ago, I made the bold decision to move to Dallas and pioneer a luxury beauty experience in the area. The idea took root when I traveled here for a destination wedding, working with a bride I had been with for 15 years. She planted a seed in my mind about the need for my expertise in Dallas, and soon enough, I felt an undeniable pull—this was where I was meant to be.
Now, I have brought my vision to life with Lady B Beauty Boutique, located in Highland Village, Texas. This boutique is a family-run business offering luxury beauty services, including makeup, bridal and destination weddings, permanent makeup—specifically nano brows, which have become my signature specialty—and, most importantly, education. My mission is to teach women how to feel confident in their own skin, empowering them with knowledge and artistry.
Lady B Beauty Boutique is not just a business; it is a space where we thrive to empower women through beauty.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey has been anything but smooth—it has tested my resilience, determination, and, above all, my faith. Leaving Canada, where I was a well-established makeup artist with a thriving business, to move to Dallas was the biggest risk I’ve ever taken. I came here knowing only one person, and despite all my research on the beauty industry in Texas, nothing could fully prepare me for the reality of starting over.
I left everything behind—my business, my clients, my comfort—to rebuild from the ground up. It felt like stepping back in time to when I was 25, taking that first leap into entrepreneurship. But this time, the stakes were even higher. The struggles have been many—adjusting to a new market, reintroducing myself in a place where no one knew my name, and facing the financial uncertainties that come with launching a business from scratch.
There have been moments of fear, uncertainty, and even desperation, but also moments of excitement and hope. Every challenge has reminded me why I started and has strengthened my belief that this journey is part of something bigger. The obstacles may be many, but my faith continues to push me forward.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Lady B Beauty Boutique, we specialize in luxury beauty services designed to enhance confidence and celebrate individuality. Our offerings include flawless makeup applications for red carpet events, bridal makeup—both local and destination weddings—as well as nano brows, a cutting-edge form of permanent makeup that delivers natural, long-lasting results.
Beyond beauty services, we are passionate about education. We provide personalized one-on-one lessons, group sessions, and masterclasses to empower women with the skills to do their own makeup—without the overwhelm of social media trends or the endless stream of products on the market.
Our expertise lies in bridal and photography makeup, ensuring every client looks and feels their best in front of the camera. Above all, our mission is to create a space where women can embrace beauty with confidence and joy, rather than feeling intimidated or like they are not enough. At Lady B Beauty Boutique, beauty is about empowerment, self-expression, and feeling your absolute best.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The only thing I can tell you is this—I am a big risk-taker! I left everything I knew in Canada, including my successful career, to come here and start from scratch.
