Inspiring Conversations with Arlene Green of Enelra Talent Solutions, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arlene Green.

Arlene, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My career has really been driven by a deep curiosity about how people grow, perform, lead, and live well — especially when leading inside complex organizations or contexts.

I trained as an industrial-organizational psychologist, and early in my career I had the opportunity to work inside large, fast-moving companies where I could see the true impact that leadership made. I spent over twenty years leading and contributing to global coaching and talent initiatives, including succession planning and leadership development at the enterprise level. That experience gave me a deep understanding of both the science of performance and the real-world pressures leaders face.

Over time, I realized I was most energized when I was working directly with leaders — helping them expand their self-awareness, navigate complexity, and lead in a way that was both high-performing and sustainable. That’s what led me to found Enelra Talent Solutions. I wanted to build an organization that combines research-based approaches with very human, practical support for leaders and organizations. Today, we partner with mid- to large-sized organizations to provide executive coaching and leadership development that strengthens performance, engagement, and overall wellbeing.

Alongside that, I teach in an organizational psychology graduate program at SMU and host a podcast focused on helping people work well and live well (https://www.youtube.com/@youdeservetoloveyourjob3516/featured). Those outlets let me keep learning, translating research into practical tools, and contributing to the broader conversation about meaningful, effective work.

When I look back, the common thread has really been this: helping leaders grow in a way that elevates results, people, and their personal wellbeing. That’s the lens I bring to every role and opportunity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road — and in many ways, I’m grateful for that.

Like many people building a meaningful career, I’ve had seasons of uncertainty, big transitions, and moments where the path forward wasn’t obvious. Working inside large organizations taught me a lot, but it also meant navigating restructures, shifting priorities, and the pressure that comes with high-stakes leadership environments. Those experiences stretched me — professionally and personally — and pushed me to grow in resilience, confidence, and self-awareness.

Another challenge was the transition from corporate leadership into entrepreneurship. Starting my own firm meant moving from a world with established systems and brand recognition into one where I had to build credibility, infrastructure, and momentum from the ground up. There were moments of doubt and plenty of learning curves, but it also clarified my purpose and strengthened my confidence in the value I bring.

I’ve also had to learn how to manage my own energy and wellbeing while supporting leaders who are carrying a lot themselves. That’s been an important part of my journey — realizing that sustainable impact requires boundaries, reflection, and practices that keep me grounded.

So no, it hasn’t been perfectly smooth — but those challenges shaped the way I lead and coach today. They helped me develop a resilient, faith-informed, and growth-oriented approach to life and work, which allows me to adapt, stay grounded during change, and help others do the same.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Enelra Talent Solutions, LLC?
Enelra Talent Solutions is a leadership development and executive coaching firm built on the belief that how leaders grow directly shapes how organizations perform and how people experience work.

We partner primarily with mid- to large-sized organizations to support senior and high potential leaders through executive coaching, leadership development programs, and evidence-based assessments. Our work sits at the intersection of performance and wellbeing — we help leaders drive results while also building healthy, sustainable ways of working.
What we’re especially known for is blending science with humanity. My background in industrial-organizational psychology means our work is grounded in research and data, but our approach is deeply personal and practical. Leaders don’t need theory alone — they need insight they can actually use in real conversations, decisions, and challenges.

Another differentiator is the way we think systemically. We don’t just coach individuals in isolation; we pay attention to the organizational context, culture, and business strategy around them. That allows us to help leaders not only grow personally, but also lead in ways that create ripple effects across their teams and organizations.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Enelra is known for being both rigorous and deeply human. Clients often tell us they feel challenged and supported at the same time — that we bring both accountability and empathy. We’ve built a reputation for meeting leaders where they are, especially in high-pressure or transitional moments, and helping them move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

What I’d most want readers to know is that leadership development doesn’t have to be abstract or reserved for a select few. When done well, it’s practical, accessible, and transformational — not just for leaders, but for the people and organizations they influence every day.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is that I’m consistently becoming the kind of person my faith calls me to be — someone who loves others and this world well, lives with integrity, and uses what I’ve been given to serve the needs of others. Titles and achievements come and go, but who we are and how we love those around us is what matters most – in every moment.
