In the dynamic landscape of healthcare leadership, where vision and compassion intersect, I am Bindu Chowritmootoo—ICF Certified Leadership Coach and Chief Operating Officer at Aspen Healthcare. With over two decades dedicated to refining leadership in the healthcare sector. I have served as an entrepreneur within the last 10 years where I have built and sold a functional medicine practice in Frisco, Texas. I have served as a Healthcare Consultant for over 15 years and served over 100 small to medium start up businesses across Dallas/Fortworth area with their operational and business development needs. I have assisted over 50 entrepreneurs launch successful businesses such as medical practices, coaching practices, med spa’s and telemedicine programs.
My journey extends beyond operational excellence; as a published author of “Flip the Switch: Unleash Your Leadership Potential,” I advocate for transformative leadership across industries. Through my book and leadership retreats, I empower executives and teams to cultivate resilience and innovation, irrespective of their organizational roles. I have been invited to be a speaker for leadership and employee retreats to help bridge the gap between employers and employees.
Beyond boardrooms, I am honored to serve as Development Officer at Bloom India, directing efforts to provide education to underprivileged children. This commitment reflects my belief in using leadership not only to drive corporate success but also to effect positive societal change.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Balancing the roles of an entrepreneur and a C-suite leader is akin to navigating two distinct yet interdependent realms. As an entrepreneur, one must constantly innovate, strategize, and take calculated risks to drive organizational growth and success. Simultaneously, as a C-suite leader, the responsibility is to guide, inspire, and steer the entire organization towards its strategic goals while ensuring operational excellence and stakeholder satisfaction.
The challenge lies in seamlessly integrating these roles while maintaining clarity and focus in both spheres. The demands of entrepreneurship often require an entrepreneurial mindset—being agile, adaptable, and forward-thinking—while the responsibilities of a C-suite leader necessitate a broader perspective, decision-making prowess, and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
My journey has been marked by challenges, each offering valuable lessons and opportunities for growth. The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
During the world wide pandemic, I learned quickly the power of reinventing myself. I successfully created two online webinars for women to build their self confidence, rebuild their professional careers and develop their leadership skills.
At the same time, I established partnerships with four digital magazines so that I can establish myself as a published writer. I was able ot publish over 25 articles on various digital platforms that supported leadership and entrepreneurship development. This experience taught me that nothing can stop you from establishing your dreams. In this case, being in a pandemic, it forced me to work harder to find and establish new ways to consistently build my empire as a leader.
