Inspiring Conversations with Brian Graf of Graf Hijama and Health Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Graf.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a physical therapist, I have been interested in the helping people recover from illnesses. As a Muslim, I discovered that hijama therapy heals people both physically and spiritually. I became a certified Hijama therapist in 2017. During Covid quarantine in 2020, I saw that there was a need to help people remotely, so I became a certified health coach.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I accepted Islam in 2010 and have been developing my relationship God and being an active community member. Changing religion is not an easy process but has been very rewarding.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a convert to Islam, I understand the challenges and can help others. I have seen many people also benefit physically and spiritually through hijama therapy. Being a physical therapist gives me a unique perspective and network of healthcare providers to address individuals’ health concerns and to give them the best advice and referrals.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe that you do not grow as a person if you do not challenge yourself. Do not takes unreasonable risks that may set you up for failure. One must go outside of their comfort zone and set goals to achieve their dreams.
