Today we’d like to introduce you to Buddy Taccolini
Buddy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Miss Molly’s started — as many business start, I assume — with a dream and a passion. I have enjoyed working with dogs for a long time, however I’ve never had the chance to do it professionally. I was caught up in the rat-race of the corporate world. One day, I told my wife I wanted to start a mobile dog grooming business. I assumed she would say I was crazy and that would be that – I’d forget the dream of owning my own business and continue working for “the man.” However, she was super supportive; we agreed that it would be a little bug in my brain my whole life, so I needed to do it, even if it was just to “say that I tried.” I enrolled in grooming courses and went to school to learn as much as I could about the business. After graduating, we bought a trailer, started a website, and began taking appointments! It’s been the most fun adventure we could have hoped for. It’s made me realize that I much prefer doing what I love rather than making great money. I don’t see myself ever doing anything else!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh yes, it’s been completely painless and easy – just like all startup businesses…….. I WISH!! We ran into pretty much every issue you can dream of. For example, I remember when we first got our trailer customized. When we received the trailer back, the exterior lights didn’t work. No brake lights or turn signals! It was horrifying, driving that thing back home. It took several different electricians to fix it, due to the customized nature of the trailer. It was one headache after another – but that’s how you grow. Every challenge we’ve encountered has been a fun learning experience. We are still learning every day.

We are a mobile dog grooming service that specializes in bathing/pampering dogs. Our goal is to be as convenient as possible for our customers, so we bring the dog spa to you! We have a fully outfitted trailer that is bright and comfortable for our furry clients and we bring it to your street. You can continue to work inside the comfort of your own home while we bathe and pamper your pet. We enjoy a very laid-back, happy, fun-loving atmosphere and we want our dogs to feel the same way. We use gentle, tear-free products and always strive to send your pup back wagging and smiling.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
When I was younger, I always enjoyed the arts. Heck, I still do today! I was in a couple bands, I wrote some songs, and enjoyed visiting museums and zoos. Still things I enjoy to this day. I’ve always had a passion for things that people pour their hearts and souls into. It’s funny to think how hard we work on our passions, sometimes for no pay at all. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all be paid for what we most enjoy to do? I guess that’s kind of what I’m trying to accomplish with Miss Molly’s.
