Inspiring Conversations with Chase LoBello of Skyward Print and Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase LoBello.

Hi Chase, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got into the fashion and apparel manufacturing world only a few years ago, and honestly, it wasn’t something I ever planned on. I spent most of my life working in the grocery business, but after getting really sick and spending several months in the ICU and physical therapy right after moving to here from Austin, I realized I couldn’t continue down that path.

That time forced me to slow down and really think about what I needed to do next for myself and my daughter. I’ve always liked the manufacturing and production side of things, and I’ve always loved how something as simple as a T-shirt can turn into a walking billboard or a real fashion statement. While I was still in the hospital, I started diving deep into the industry—reading, learning from other people’s mistakes, and building good habits before I even officially started. I also built a lot of my current relationships during that time, all from a hospital bed, without ever mentioning my situation ever really.

Once I got going, I knew the Dallas area was saturated with people doing the same thing, so I focused on what I could control and do better—putting out quality work, being consistent, being fastest, most affordable, staying flexible, and actually caring about my clients and their image. More than anything, I just try to be a genuine person and go the extra mile, and that’s what’s helped me get to where I am today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like any new business, there’s been a lot of learning along the way, trying to develop more GOOD habit’s, but one of the biggest challenges has been earning customer trust. a lot of people are understandably cautious—many have been burned before by other companies or straight-up scammers in this space.

Convincing customers that you’re different, that you actually care about the quality of the work, (the end result) elevating their business, and both of your reputations, takes time. You can’t just say it—you have to prove it through consistency, communication, and following through every single time. There were moments early on where that was frustrating, but it also pushed me to be more transparent, more responsive, and more intentional about how I do business. Over time, that trust turns into long-term relationships, and that’s been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’ve built the business to be a true one-stop shop for just about every industry. Whether someone is just starting out and needs something simple to help their brand stand out, an established company looking for uniforms and promotional goods across their entire organization, or even a local soccer or baseball team needing custom gear—I’ve got it covered.

I try to keep as much as possible in-house because I want eyes on the quality at every step. That means I’m always working on something and constantly moving. A lot of my downtime is spent learning—keeping up with trends, studying materials, testing new processes, and finding better ways to deliver a solid finished product. I also genuinely enjoy promoting my customers’ businesses whenever I can, because I actually want to see them succeed as well!

What sets my brand apart is that it’s personal. I care about the details, I care about the end result, and I care about protecting both my reputation and my clients’ reputations. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built and the relationships behind the work. I want readers to know that when they work with me, they’re getting more than just printed apparel or promo products—they’re getting someone who’s invested in their brand as much as they are

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
The biggest thing I’d want readers to know is that behind every order is a real person who actually cares. This isn’t a volume-at-all-costs operation—it’s about doing things the right way, standing behind the work, and building long-term relationships instead of quick transactions.

If you’re building a brand, a business, or a team, I understand how much your image matters because I treat every project like it represents both of us. I’m proud of what I’ve built so far on my own but I’m even more excited about where it’s going and the people I get to work with along the way and the businesses I get to help elevate.
