Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Gronkowski.
Hi Chris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was playing in the NFL, I played for three different teams in three years. My wife decided she wanted to try to find a way to work from home instead of getting a new job every year. She started on an online custom gift website called everythingdecorated.com. When I was done playing, I worked with her and together, we scaled it to one of the largest online gift shops on ETSY. After five years, I thought of an idea for a higher quality shaker bottle. I started the company Ice Shaker and was able to get onto ABC’s Shark tank in 2017. I was offered by all five sharks on the show and closed a deal with Mark Cuban and Alex Rodriguez.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. Our first big shipment with Ice Shaker came with half of the bottles defective. We had to change out all the lids, which took months.
