Inspiring Conversations with Christina Kingery of Christina Kingery, Realtor with Keller Williams Johnson County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Kingery.

Hi Christina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My background really shaped the way I approach real estate today. I started my career in customer service, where I learned how important it is to truly listen to people and find solutions that fit their needs. I also served eight years in the Navy Reserves as a Military Police Officer, which taught me discipline, integrity, and how to stay calm and confident in high-pressure situations.

After that, I spent three years in leadership with Keller Williams before getting my real estate license. That experience gave me a strong foundation in business operations, coaching, and team collaboration—all of which helped me hit the ground running when I became a full-time realtor.

The skills I’ve gained from these experiences—service, problem-solving, communication, and leadership—really come together in real estate. I love helping people through one of the biggest decisions of their lives and making the process as smooth and positive as possible.

Early on, I realized that cold calling wasn’t my strength, so I focused on building deeper relationships with the people who already know and trust me. Hosting events—big or small—has been an amazing way to provide value and stay connected with my clients, family, and friends. And social media has become a huge part of my business, helping me stay top of mind with my network and even meet new clients organically.

Overall, my journey has been about combining service, leadership, and community to build a business based on trust and genuine connection.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but I view every challenge as a growth opportunity—and that’s truly been a privilege. I believe we should always be learning and finding ways to improve, both personally and professionally.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of putting everything in writing. In this business, trust and good communication are essential, but clear documentation protects everyone involved, especially my clients. No matter how strong the relationship is between agents, I make sure every agreement and detail is clearly outlined. It’s a simple practice that prevents misunderstandings and keeps the transaction running smoothly.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Realtor serving the DFW area, primarily focusing on Johnson and Tarrant counties. I specialize in residential real estate and have a strong passion for helping clients with land purchases. My mission is to help people achieve their goals and dreams through real estate while providing trusted guidance and genuine care every step of the way.

What truly sets my business apart is the lifelong relationships I build with my clients. When someone chooses me as their realtor, I tell them I’m their realtor for life—and I mean it. I stay connected long after the closing through consistent communication, community events, and genuine friendship.

I also have the honor of serving on the Associate Leadership Council for my brokerage, where I help plan impactful events, support community outreach efforts, and teach classes to fellow agents. It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to our culture of collaboration, growth, and service.

Each year, I host several family-friendly events like free movie days, an annual Halloween party, Thanksgiving pie deliveries, and community shred days. I also partner with local charities like Harvest House to give back to families in need.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of being known for authenticity, connection, and community. My goal is to be not just a realtor, but a trusted friend and lifelong resource my clients can always depend on.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about my city, Joshua, is the small-town feel and the incredible sense of community. Everyone truly shows up for their kids—whether it’s a football game, a dance performance, or any school event, it feels like the entire town comes together. Seeing everyone proudly wearing their Joshua gear and cheering for every child is something really special and heartwarming.

As for Fort Worth, which is the nearest major city, I absolutely love how clean, safe, and family-friendly it is. There’s always something fun to do—from great restaurants and cultural events to outdoor activities that make it easy to enjoy time with family and friends.

If I had to pick something I like least, I’d say that sometimes the rapid growth around the DFW area brings heavier traffic and a little less of that small-town pace we all love—but it’s also a sign of how desirable our area has become. Overall, I feel so grateful to live and work in a community that offers the best of both worlds: small-town heart and big-city opportunity.
