Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Sone.
Hi Cynthia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into aesthetics really started long before I became a nurse. I’ve always had a deep interest in skincare I remember being around age 12, going grocery shopping with my parents and asking if I could spend a few extra minutes in the skincare aisle just to look at products. Even then, I was fascinated by how skin worked and how to care for it.
I’m also of Nigerian heritage and the first of seven children a background that instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and care for others, which has carried into my nursing career and how I show up for people today.
As I got older and stepped into my career as a nurse, I built a strong foundation across multiple areas of healthcare, including the operating room and leadership roles that deepened my understanding of patient care on a broader level. While those experiences shaped how I view the body and overall health, my passion for skincare and beauty was always present.
A major turning point came when I was preparing for pregnancy. I became more intentional about what I was putting into my body making small but meaningful changes to my diet and lifestyle. I began to notice a significant difference, not just in how I felt, but in my skin. That was the moment it truly clicked for me that real skin transformation doesn’t happen in isolation it’s a combination of internal health, external care, and consistency.
During my first pregnancy, while my husband and I were exploring where we wanted to call home, I remember driving through Frisco and saying out loud that one day I would have a spa in that area. At the time, it felt like a simple statement but looking back, it was a defining one.
As life evolved, that vision became even more meaningful. I became more aware of how easily women can become so consumed with caring for everyone around them that they lose space for themselves not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I wanted to create something that helps women feel more aligned, confident, and visibly refreshed in every season of their lives.
That vision became HydraGlow Wellness a nurse-led aesthetic practice focused on treatments that enhance natural beauty, from skin rejuvenation and regenerative therapies to results-driven aesthetic care. My approach blends medical knowledge with a deeper understanding of how internal health supports visible results.
Right now, I’m in the process of building and growing the brand trusting the vision I’ve carried for years. It’s been everything I knew it could be and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has been filled with both meaningful wins and moments that truly tested me.
From early on in my career, I found myself stepping into spaces that weren’t always considered the “typical” path like entering the operating room straight out of nursing school, at a time when new grads typically started on med-surg floors and worked their way up to specialty areas. That experience taught me how to trust my path, even when it didn’t look like what others expected.
As I stepped into marriage and motherhood, my career naturally evolved with me. There were moments where I had to pivot quickly seasons where opportunities closed in ways that were completely out of my hands. Those seasons weren’t easy but they stretched me, refined me, and strengthened my resilience.
Through it all, one thing never changed from a young age, I’ve always had a strong interest in skin and beauty, along with a natural pull toward helping women in that area. Even when I was working in roles I enjoyed, that desire never left me. I just needed the right season of life to fully step into it.
I give God all the glory for that timing. What once felt like setbacks were actually moments of redirection and preparation. Looking back now, I can clearly see that every experience was aligning me for this exact season one where I can walk fully in purpose and build something where every client experience is intentional, starting with a personalized consultation and a treatment plan built around their specific aesthetic goals.
We’ve been impressed with HydraGlow Wellness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At HydraGlow, I believe beauty should be approached with care and a long-term perspective. I’m always looking at how we can enhance what’s already there, in a way that still feels like you just more refreshed and confident.
One of the things that led me to create HydraGlow Wellness was a desire to approach beauty differently.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
What helps me do my best in life starts from the inside out. Faith is my foundation it’s how I center myself, find clarity, and move with intention through everything I do. I regularly listen to messages, and spend time in scripture,
which help ground me and keep me aligned.
When it comes to professional growth, I’m always learning. Whether I’m driving, working out, or moving through my day, there’s usually an audiobook playing. I follow leaders in the aesthetics industry, including Dr. Rajani and others who share their knowledge openly through their platforms, and that kind of ongoing exposure keeps me sharp and genuinely excited about my field.
One book that has stood out to me is Listening for Success it’s one I’ve found myself actively applying in both life and business.
Beyond resources, some of my greatest influences are the people closest to me my family, who have shaped me in more ways than I can fully put into words. I’m truly honored to be surrounded by such a strong and supportive foundation one that models diligence, and inspires me to go after what I believe is possible.
My husband has been a constant source of support and fresh insight, creating space for me to fully show up as a wife, a mother, and a business owner. That kind of foundation is something I don’t take lightly. And then there are my children, who, without even knowing it, keep me connected to the moment, playful, and offer a kind of perspective that only a childlike heart can bring. They inspire me in the purest way, through the way they see the world and the joy they bring into everyday moments.
At the end of the day, doing your best in life is less about how much you consume and more about how fully you show up in the season you’re in, always evolving.
