Her goals are to fill the purposes of who each of us are after the “I Am.” Striving to enhance the personal growth and development of youth in her community through workshops and events, she specializes in utilizing biblical principles combined with leading industry techniques to increase leadership skills, confidence, and sound decision making. Boasting in the power that he has given her to say with Godly pride that since the birth and creation of “I Am Girls Empowerment, Inc.” on Dec. 28th, 2018, that:

I Am Love
I Am Happy

I Am Strong I Am Healed
I Am Blessed I Am Beautiful
I Am Educated I Am Prosperous
I Am Enterprising I Am God-Fearing
I Am A Virtuous Woman I Am Not Easily Broken
I Am More Than A Conqueror I Am Danniesha Murphy M.P.A, NALP, HCCP
And I Am Girls Empowerment ❤

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Birthed from a place of pain, Danniesha started “I Am Girls Empowerment” due to her ability to empathize and understand many of the problems seen and experienced within her community. In the midst of tragedies witnessed both firsthand and personally through the passing of the “love of her life,” who was killed Christmas 2004, and through her own battle later in November 2017, it was through these life-changing moments that she grew to know what it meant to know God firsthand as a “Comforter, Healer and Strong Tower.” As she was still reliving and grieving the visions of Christmas 2004, where she watched “Red” lay in the hospital bed in UAMS with over 18 visible bullet holes covering his body, a breakthrough that Danniesha experienced in 2015 would now be tested as 13 years after the death of Red, death would come and stand at her own front door. Having undergone what should have been a normal surgery, Danniesha found herself experiencing complications that would lead to her needing to be resuscitated twice on the operating table! And while the doctors could only explain it as a phenomenon that she was still alive, Danniesha knew it was nothing “BUT GOD”! The very grieving, healing, and breakthrough that she experienced within those last 13 years following the death of Red would now come full circle in 2017 to birth a new purpose within her! She had no clue how real Jeremiah 29:11 would become for her and for the community she was also birthed from! This scripture would testify to the Glory and Omnipotence of God and God alone when she would recall God saying, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!”.

Here she was 13 years later, speaking into herself the very words that she had spoken into Red that day in the hospital as he made his transition to be with Christ; the very words she had spoken to countless grieving women, men, children, mothers, fathers, sisters, daughters, friends, and even strangers since then, the words “You are who GOD says you Are!” It was in these words that Danniesha always remembers and reminds others that the power of life and death are in the tongue! And just as God spoke this world into existence, he has given us that same power to SPEAK life into any dead situation we are facing! Our words are our Power!

We’ve been impressed with I Am Girls Empowerment, Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Am Girls Empowerment, Inc.’s mission is to inspire and motivate girls to fill the purpose of who they are after the I Am. We strive to enhance their personal growth and development with workshops and events that will increase leadership skills, confidence, and sound decision-making. Our goal is to foster a commitment to youth girls that will promote personal, social, educational, and growth/development skills through mentorship and empowerment. We envision a community in which every youth girl is empowered to make informed decisions, establish healthy relationships, and be self-sufficient. Through mentorship, we nurture her goals, aspirations, and ambitions. We encourage her to flourish into her full potential. I Am Girls Empowerment, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit agency providing mentor and empowerment programs for youth girls, ages 5-18 years of age, in Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri; our organization forms partnerships with local school districts, youth non-profit organizations, and the juvenile court system. We practice speaking positive I Am affirmations into the lives of our youth girls. Speaking into their I Am manifest positive attributes that begin to prepare them to become great women in their community.

On December 26th, 2022 “I Am Girls Empowerment, Inc.” (IAGE) celebrated the 4th anniversary of their organization.

When IAGE started, Murphy knew this wouldn’t be just a phase! She knew that the communities IAGE served were expecting longevity and commitment. Long after the newness of IAGE would fade, the organizational commitment to the communities and young girls would continue to flourish. As IAGE enters year 4, they have proven that they are here for the long haul!

Through COVID, new technological enhancements, expansions across state lines, and strategic partnerships, IAGE continues to prove that the quality in the services provided to their youth is their top priority. It’s important that IAGE continues to be a multifaceted organization that focuses on the 4 dimensions of our youth, both biological (physical), psychological (mental and emotional), social, and transcendent (spiritual).

While “I Am Girls Empowerment, Inc.” has offered more than five hundred girls services ranging from mentorship, mental health counseling, scholarships, and much more, Murphy is excited about the future! Some of the things Murphy is most excited about is expanding IAGE organizational presence to multiple states, launching the new website, creating custom youth empowerment kits, expanding their educational enrichment programs offering, offering IAGE merchandise, and last but not the least, her new business adventure : EmpowHER Tee’s- a collection under the I Am umbrella, where she used affirmations and words of encouragement on trendy merch to be a visual and reminder for those that  are encountering hardship or just need a word.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you? Growing up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas as a young girl, my mom, Tracey Smith Murry,  instilled into me two important nuggets, education and to have a relationship with God, so I used that as a step to steer me in the direction on my life journey. I always knew I was destined to be a leader and a servant of something that would be a passion and not a job. So I would be described as a leader for sure and all around positive God-fearing young lady, my friends and I could be hitting the town for PJ’s or Club Vegas club life,  and I would pray before, after, and some cases doing(LOL).. I can laugh now and thank God for whom and where I Am now, but facing and helping others survive different obstacles growing up, you would be surprised how my leadership skills and prayer life lead us to VICTORY!!!! All I will say is……GOD is AWESOME!!
