Inspiring Conversations with Eddie Wiewel of Eddie Wiewel Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Wiewel.

Hi Eddie, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My story has been and will continue to be about having a vision for my life, chasing excellence, serving the world around me and hopefully being an example for others. Growing up, I was a very inquisitive kid. Anything that I was passionate about consumed me. When I was 18 years old, I began my first professional work, selling vitamins in the mall at GNC to make my way through college. I vividly remember my first day of work. When the lights came on, a side of my personality came out that I didn’t know was there before. Over the next 8+ years I would sell vitamins, shoes, loans, commercial real estate and now residential real estate. What I thought at the time was a passion for vitamins and fitness, grew into something much bigger – a true love for serving others, sales, entrepreneurship, and self-expression.

Through these experiences, I was able to clarify and formalize my core values – to live every day valuing my faith as a Chrisitan, to always value my relationships, and to develop a business to serve the world!

This clarity led me to quitting my job with a commercial real estate firm in July 2021 to start Eddie Wiewel Real Estate. With integrity, customer service, and consistency being my founding principles, the business has gone from zero to 20+ clients on the residential side and 2 more on the commercial side over the past 15 months. While keeping the primary focus on relationships with clients and with the help of social media and website consultants, I’ve also developed digital platforms – truly allowing me to serve clients with an omnichannel presence.

This approach allows the focus to be on the relationship with each client first while being committed to cutting-edge innovation that leads to locating and completing sales.

Serving people is the cornerstone of who we are. It’s not just a business, it’s a lifestyle!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road. When I quit my job in July 2021, it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. In many ways, I was succeeding in my corporate “dream job,” as accolades included setting a company record for quarterly sales, being recognized with a regional sales award and making more money than I ever had before. But I wasn’t happy. I knew in my heart and mind that making the jump to entrepreneurship was what I wanted, but I had to learn how to manage fear.

The remainder of 2021 was spent gaining clarity, reading countless books, finding mentors who had accomplished what I desired to accomplish, and improving my mindset.

When you are new to any industry, there’s going to be competition and it’s not always easy to gain traction or respect when you are starting out. In terms of real estate and my business development, I was really fortunate to partner with my real estate brokerage, Rohter & Company, and specifically our owner, Reev Rohter. He gave me a chance when he didn’t have to, has taught me the business, and continues to be a role model for me.

With that said, starting Eddie Wiewel Real Estate has truly been paradoxical. It has been incredibly humbling but also some of the most rewarding and amazing experiences of my life. Humbling in the sense that every day is day one! And rent is due every day. This goes for personally and professionally. However, the rewards have been indescribable. Each and every person that I’ve met, client I’ve represented, and property I’ve sold has led to a feeling of unbelievable gratitude and belief that most limitations are self-imposed.

Learning to love the struggle is what winning is all about to me – not about the accolades or the money. When you find a path personally or professionally that you are willing to suffer for, get knocked-down for and stand back up and say you want some more, it should be confirmation that you’re truly in love with creating something beautiful in your life. Using your faith, vision, and purpose – which are developed daily – to cast out the pain, uncertainty, self-doubt and fear, while taking a step forward with courage to live the life you want to live while serving the world around you with your unique talents, is what winning truly looks like for me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Eddie Wiewel Real Estate?
As mentioned earlier, our core values are integrity, customer service, and consistency. With these values in mind, we focus on the relationship with each client first while being committed to cutting-edge innovation that leads to locating and completing acquisitions and sales. Serving people is the cornerstone of who we are. It’s not just a business, it’s a lifestyle!

Eddie Wiewel Real Estate specializes in residential and commercial real estate in DFW and surrounding areas. We help our clients acquire and sell real estate properties throughout the metroplex by building and executing strategic plans specifically-tailored to their goals.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise and what separates us is without question our core values and mission statement above. It is the “why” behind the business.

-Integrity, that is founded on honesty no matter the result.

-Customer Service, that values humanity, uniqueness, and life in all forms.

-Consistency, that is defined as showing up every day with resilience and a relentless desire to serve the world around me.

Beyond this, our testimonials online and our website validate this each day. Buzzwords such as “integrity” and phrases such as “always putting the client’s interests first” keep me coming back determined to uphold this standard!

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The real estate industry and specifically for agents continues to evolve and change. Being adaptable and willing to learn, embracing that every day truly is day one allows this mindset.

With that said, I believe the real estate industry as a whole will continue to digitize. Those that don’t keep up with innovation will be cannibalized and left behind while those that invest in the proper tools and training will gain market share.

Make no mistake, agents will continue to play a vital role in the counsel, negotiations, and interpretation of the contracts. The key differences will be in the marketing- which is so important when it comes to being successful in this business. Properly utilizing the ever-evolving digital tools to market real estate and automate parts of the real estate closing process will ensure your clients and business will continue to maximize efficiency and hopefully create a superior customer experience. Improved customer experience metrics coupled with increased efficiency usually equals increased profitability and margins. Everyone wins!

Eddie Wiewel Real Estate is committed to this innovation while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of our business. We love our clients and will strive to continue delighting them every single day!
