Evelyn and Ellen Middleton have always been entrepreneurs. They started their first business, Blue Spruce Properties, buying, selling and flipping houses. After identifying a gap in the DFW moving and storage market, Evelyn and Ellen saw an opportunity to use their resources and skills to start a white-glove moving and storage company that would fill that need.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We had several challenges to meet our November 1st, 2020 opening date. When our warehouse search started in September, we were told it typically took a year to find a space that would meet our needs. However, we took that as a challenge. We found our perfect space and signed our lease in October of 2020. On November 1st, we hit the ground running because we had several customers that needed our help immediately. Fortunately, we were able to accommodate those early customers and met their needs. The remainder of 2020 was dedicated to creating the technological infrastructure that sets us apart from our competitors. Today, we are refining our systems and making them more automated and customer-friendly.
