Inspiring Conversations with Felisha Beevers of Little Camper Photo Booth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felisha Beevers.

Hi Felisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My husband and I planned and had our wedding back in April of 2019. During that time, I realized that I really enjoyed the wedding planning experience. After the wedding was over, we started thinking about ways to create a business based on what we knew and were good at. We inevitably chose to go with a photo booth. We had one at our wedding that we really enjoyed, but we wanted to take it up a notch. We wanted our photo booth business to be run out of Vintage Campers. It was a perfect combination of some of the things that we really enjoy as a couple: lots of fun and laughter and Vintage Campers! From there, we started our business. It wasn’t until COVID lockdowns hit in 2020 that we were able to really put our heads together and get everything going. In December 2020, we debuted our first Vintage Camper – “Photo Bomber.” She is a 1953 Aljoa Sportsman that is outfitted with a very unique WWII B-17 Bomber theme. In our first year as an official business, we did over 50 events and were able to see so many happy couples start their forever, celebrate those who’ve graduated high school/college, and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries! After much success with our business within the first year, we decided to debut our second Vintage Camper – “Lola,” at the beginning of 2022. “Lola” is a 1964 Aristocrat Lo-Liner that has been rebuilt from the frame up and is a fully functional Vintage Camper that has been outfitted to be a photo booth as well. Our campers are so much fun and are the perfect addition to any event that is being planned.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think I can speak for every business owner when I say that owning a business is almost never a “smooth road.” We have been very fortunate to have the success that we’ve had after starting up during one of the most difficult times to plan events – especially when most events and weddings in 2020 were pushed back to 2021/2022. Some of our biggest struggles that we’ve faced were the inevitable budget cuts or COVID restrictions that forced a lot of our potential clients to rethink the “add-ons” of the event, such as a photo booth. We also had to overcome a national paper and ink shortage. One thing we like to provide for our customers is unlimited prints. As time pressed on, we came to the realization that the supply of paper and ink for our printers were stuck on boats that could not dock! While most companies switched to digital, we continued to give our customers physical prints despite not knowing when we could get more media in stock. Luckily, we never ran out. We stocked up as soon as our local supplier received more inventory!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We offer photo booth services to the DFW Metroplex and North Texas area. What sets us apart from other photo booths is the unique charm and style that our vintage campers bring to the mix. Many other photo booths use tablet cameras and digital-only prints, whereas we use professional DSLR cameras, dye sublimation printers, and offer unlimited prints. Also, if you have the opportunity to experience one of our photo booths, you will find that we have one of the largest varieties of props available. From all types of hats, boas, sunglasses, signs, and even coconut bras, the selection is almost endless. We are exceptionally proud of the reviews that our clients have left for us since we started, and we are proud of being awarded the Knot Best of Weddings 2022. The thing that makes us the happiest though is when a client or a guest comes to us and tells us how much fun they had in one of our photo booths.

What are your plans for the future?
I don’t think we plan on adding any more campers to the business any time soon, but we are always looking! We are also looking to break our record for a number of bookings this year and hope to continue breaking those records in the future! We are anxious to see what the photo booth industry has to offer in a post-pandemic world!
