Today we’d like to introduce you to Gareth Neckles.
Hi Gareth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My initial interest and love for photography started while growing up in the beautiful small island of Grenada W.I. In Grenada, we hold a variety of luscious views and vegetation and because of that, I was almost forced not to capture such sights and use for my own computer and phone screensavers. As time progressed, I started editing and post-processing the images to my liking and realized I actually enjoy the process of adjusting the images to my own liking.
Fast forward a few years later, and I continued growing my love for photography and started asking a few friends to use them as subjects as I would practice different camera settings and posing techniques that I would research from what I call “YouTube University.” I would use my personal social accounts to showcase my progress and would oftentimes get complimented on how nice the images looked. My confidence grew, and I was also encouraged by a few persons to start a separate account to showcase my work.
I took a leap of faith and started offering graduation session to the nearby university. It was at that point I started receiving request from other university students to have their graduation photos taken. Those graduation session then transitioned into birthday shoots and other life activities that they may have happening and need my services.
Today I’m happy that I took that leap of faith to pursue photography more. I’ve had the experience of working with major companies across the USA and numerous clients within Texas.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey was not always smooth, especially when trying to make your name without any major guidance and rule book to follow. I had to do hours of research and trial and error to figure out the best ways to reached my intended target market.

We specialize in events, lifestyle, maternity, weddings, and graduation sessions.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve always had an ambitious mindset and would often go for what I say I will. Starting your own business is definitely a big risk because there’s no set results after starting.
Being a “Risk taker” is an awesome trait to have, but I would encourage others to make calculated risk and know exactly what the pros and cons can be with such risk. Identifying the pros and cons would help one better prepare and not feel defeated if the plan doesn’t go intended.
