Hi Genevieve and Chris, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Genevieve Martin, and I am a US citizen who immigrated to the United States from Ghana in 2004. I immediately fell in love with my new country and began working in healthcare at different hospitals in the DFW area. In 2020, after ten years of working in the healthcare field, I decided to start Radiant Heart Home Care, LLC, along with my husband, Christopher Martin. Our goal was to provide quality, compassionate, patient-centered assistance to individuals and families in their homes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As soon as we started our business, Covid hit, and we struggled to advertise our business, but we never gave up and managed to weather the storm and continued to provide compassionate patient assistance to our clients throughout the pandemic.

Our company, Radiant Heart Home Care LLC, provides compassionate patient assistance to individuals and families in their homes. Some of our clients have been home-bound due to spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and Alzheimer’s disease. We feel the best care for our clients is care that is offered with compassion. In my work at hospitals, I often observed the hurried, clinical, impersonal way in which patients were treated, and I wanted to create a business where I could actually listen to, spend time with, and reassure clients who are often isolated from the rest of society.
