Itzelt, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started out not really knowing what I wanted to do with my cosmetology license. After getting licensed, I worked at a fast food job for about a year before realizing it just wasn’t fulfilling. I decided to apply at a local wax center franchise, and I ended up loving it! I stayed there for almost four years, but eventually, I started feeling unappreciated and knew I wanted more for myself. That’s when I took the leap and went out on my own in January 2022 — and here we are, almost four years later, thriving and growing every day. 🩷
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has had its bumps on the way.
Every day is different when being a business owner but word of mouth along with social media has been my biggest help.
We’ve been impressed with The Pink Tulip Wax Studio , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I’m a full body waxer and brow specialist, with a main focus on brows and Brazilians! What truly sets me apart is how much I value building genuine connections with my clients. While some say to keep friendships out of work, I believe strong relationships are the key to client trust and long-term loyalty. Many of my clients have been with me for almost eight years, and that means the world to me.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has worked well for me is word of mouth & social media has been my biggest help!
