Ivana Reyes Mura, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Eight years ago, just one year after arriving in the United States, Carlos and I had a conversation that would shape our path: we wanted to build something of our own and leave behind the life of working only for others. We had many ideas, aspirations, and projects, but we still didn’t know how to turn them into reality.
Shortly after, we met a man who owned a tire shop and was just starting his own business. We connected immediately, became close friends, and that encounter further sparked our interest in that business model, planting a seed that would grow stronger over time.
Carlos had always had a great passion for cars; he had gained extensive knowledge and experience in Venezuela alongside his uncles. I, Ivana, had graduated as a Business Administrator in our home country, which made us together an ideal combination to start a business.
However, at that time we were still very new in the country. We didn’t yet have the information, capital, or tools needed to make it a reality. So, with patience and perseverance, each of us continued preparing: Carlos refined his skills in repair and maintenance, as well as in buying and selling vehicles, until he decided to start on his own as a mobile mechanic. Meanwhile, I supported him every step of the way, helping with administrative management, customer service, and social media.
Over the years and through many experiences, it was our own customers who began asking us to open a physical location. That promise we made long ago “to make it a reality someday” always remained present.
After purchasing our first home in the Forney, Texas area, we began exploring the surroundings and discovered a great opportunity within a rapidly growing community. We finally felt ready to take on the commitment and take the step we had dreamed of and worked toward for so long: opening our own tire shop and auto repair business.
Thus, at the right time and with the necessary experience, CVG Garage was born.
Today, thanks to God, our shop is a reality. These months have been rewarding, filled with support from the community, friends, and clients who believe in our work. Our commitment is clear: to offer quality, affordable prices, and honest service, so every customer feels at home and leaves with the peace of mind of a job well done.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The first great challenge It was arriving in an unknown country, learning a new language, and starting from zero in a place where no one knew me.
Building a name took time. It meant earning the trust of each client, working hard so that every satisfied customer would recommend me to their family and friends. Step by step, trust became my greatest asset.
Along the way, I had to learn much more than mechanics. I learned about laws, permits, and how to run a business. I learned the importance of staying focused on my goals in a place full of distractions and challenges that can easily lead you away from your dreams.
There were moments of doubt and fatigue, but perseverance, discipline, and faith kept me moving forward. Those values became the foundation of everything we built.
Today, that dream is a reality. Our shop continues to grow, driven by the same commitment that started it all: honest work, quality service, and a deep respect for every customer who places their trust in us.
