Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivonne “Bonnie” Braxton.
Hi Ivonne “Bonnie”, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started LT Clinics with a simple vision. I have always wanted to help people reclaim their health, energy, and quality of life. Early in my career, I saw firsthand how hormone therapy could transform lives. With our help, men and women regained motivation, strengthened their relationships, and felt like themselves again. Those experiences fueled my desire to open a clinic of my own. What began as LT Men’s Clinic has grown into LT Clinics, a place where both men and women come for personalized, evidence-based care in hormone optimization, weight management, and preventative health.
Looking back, the journey has been equal parts challenging and rewarding. I launched LT Clinics at a time when men’s health was often overlooked, and there weren’t many clinics addressing these specific needs. Over the years, the demand grew, not just from men but also from their wives, sisters, and daughters who wanted the same level of care. That expansion of trust from families is what truly shaped the direction of our clinic. Today, we’re proud to be a place where patients feel cared for like family, where science and compassion come together, and where people know they’re not just another appointment on the schedule. They are our priority.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all, it’s been full of challenges. From entering a male-dominated field to scaling multiple locations while maintaining quality, the road hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to learn to balance being a clinician with the demands of entrepreneurship, which is its own education. Staffing, funding, and building patient trust are constant hurdles. But each obstacle taught me resilience and strengthened my commitment to the mission.
One of the toughest lessons was realizing that good medicine alone doesn’t sustain a business. I had to become comfortable making tough financial decisions, managing payroll, negotiating contracts, and planning strategically for growth. These were not skills I learned in nursing school, but they’ve been just as essential to the success of LT Clinics as my medical expertise. Through it all, I’ve learned to stay grounded, lean on my team, and remind myself that every challenge is part of building something bigger than myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about LT Clinics?
LT Clinics specializes in hormone optimization, weight management, and preventative care. We are best known for our individualized approach. Our patients tell us that they never feel like a number. What sets us apart is our blend of clinical expertise and genuine compassion. We put safety, efficiency, and patient experience first. I’m most proud of our rebrand, expanding from LT Men’s Clinic to LT Clinics, which reflects our inclusive vision. Our goal is to help people live healthier, more vibrant lives through science-backed treatments, education, and long-term support.
Another thing that sets us apart is the culture we’ve built inside the clinic. Our staff isn’t just a team, we’re like family, and that shows in the way we treat our patients. From the moment someone walks in, they feel welcomed and respected. Our focus isn’t just on providing a quick fix; it’s on equipping patients with tools for lasting change. Whether it’s helping a man regain energy through testosterone therapy, supporting a woman with hormone balance, or guiding someone through weight management, we celebrate every success as a shared victory. That culture of connection is what keeps patients coming back year after year.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Healthcare is shifting toward prevention and personalization. Patients want solutions that address root causes, not just symptoms. I see men’s and women’s health merging more under the umbrella of wellness and performance, with hormones, weight management, and lifestyle medicine at the core. Technology, AI, wearables, and virtual coaching will all play a huge role in making care more accessible and proactive.
In the next decade, I believe we’ll see an even bigger emphasis on proactive health strategies that start earlier in life. Younger patients are already asking smarter questions about prevention, longevity, and performance, which is exciting. I also see healthcare delivery becoming more hybrid, with both in-person and virtual care working hand in hand to create a seamless patient experience. For LT Clinics, that means continuing to expand beyond traditional in-office visits to include educational programs, virtual coaching, and membership-based models that prioritize prevention over crisis care.
