Hi Kendall, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My music journey started back in 2016 when I dropped out of college, and honestly it wasn’t something I thought about pursuing right away. Football was my first love, I sacrificed a good part of my life making sure id make it. Things didn’t go as planned so I had to move forward. Of course, that transition in my life was very, very difficult but I had some good people around me during those times and I thank them for getting me out of that slump because it was rough. Only thing I loved just as much as football was music, and I for sure can’t sing nor rap. So being the next great mogul from New Orleans, LA was the only thing that made sense. New Orleans, LA where some of the greatest music in our history was born. I grew up in a household where music was played on the daily, The Temptations movie was on repeat for every family gathering, we knew every Michael Jackson dance, and my grandmother and older sister had the biggest music collection I’ve ever seen. Music was very serious growing up and I was really listening to music at a young age like I could understand everything they were talking about. So music is no stranger to me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been fair ill say that. It’s all about falling on your face and figuring it out on the go because this isn’t something a normal person would choose to do with their life. I wasted soooo much money in the beginning I’m even embarrassed to say how much. I had a newborn baby on the way, I’m back home living with my parents, and all I’m doing is watching Youtube, reading books, and taking a ton of notes. Felt like I was in school, but I enjoyed that period of soaking up information.
The biggest challenge for me was trying to convince my peers and family I’m actually a music entrepreneur and I have two artists that are doing really well. My family was still caught up on me being a football player.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Regal Black Is a full-service entertainment company specializing in Management, Branding, and Production.
Our goal is to guide artists down the independent lane while helping them build value for themselves and their company. With our Knowledge, Resources, and Network we plan on becoming a big part of this new music evolution for Independent artists and creatives worldwide.
Quality, Quality, Quality is what separates us from others and that is what I want my company to be known for.
My business philosophy is what separates us from everyone. That’s something id have to get into later on down the road. I have a lot more work to put in.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I moved around a lot so I pretty much had to adapt to different places like every couple of years so I didn’t have a lot of friends I grew up with so I never had a major interest in things. Video games and going outside was really the thing for me as a kid and family gatherings. I wasn’t exposed to a lot. Sports didn’t come until later.
