Inspiring Conversations with Kennith Thomas of The Unshakeable Method

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kennith Thomas.

Hi Kennith, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely. My story really began long before I ever became a speaker, pastor, or content creator. It started as a father just trying to save his son’s life.
Seven years ago, my son Kristian—who was born with Down Syndrome—was diagnosed with leukemia. Overnight, my wife Josie and I went from being young parents with big dreams to living in a hospital room, praying for miracles. During one of the hardest seasons of my life, God asked me a simple question: “Will you trust Me?”
So I did the only thing I knew how to do. I danced.
Not for the internet. Not for attention.
But to bring joy to my son during chemo.
I posted one video online—not expecting anything—and it went viral. That moment became a doorway. People all over the world started following our journey, not because of the dance, but because they saw a father fighting for his family with faith, joy, and resilience.
From that season, The Unshakeable Method was born.
I realized God wasn’t just healing my son; He was shaping me. Teaching me how to lead with faith, communicate with love, recover from hardship, and build resilience in the middle of storms. That message started opening doors with companies like Aflac, JPMorgan Chase, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Rutgers University, GiGi’s Playhouse, and so many others.
Today my wife and I live in Aubrey, Texas with our four boys, building Unshakeable Ministries and Unshakeable Coaching & Consulting—a movement focused on faith, family, and leadership. We create devotional content, leadership programs, youth events, and marriage resources to help people live bold, purpose-driven lives.
But at the heart of everything, I’m still that same father who believes in showing up, loving hard, and trusting God even when it doesn’t make sense. My story isn’t about success; it’s about surrender.
God took a painful season and turned it into a global message of hope, and today I get to help people become unshakeable in every area of their lives.
And honestly…I’m just getting started.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth—and honestly, that’s where God built me the most.
One of the biggest challenges was navigating my son Kristian’s cancer battle while still trying to be a husband, a father to my other kids, and a provider. There’s nothing that prepares you for watching your child fight for their life. The emotional weight, the sleepless nights, the medical bills, the fear—all of it pushes you to a place where you either break…or you surrender.
But even after that season, the challenges didn’t stop.
When my wife and I moved to Texas to build our ministry and leadership work, we came with faith, not finances. We didn’t have a team, we didn’t have a network, and we didn’t have a roadmap. There were months where we didn’t know how rent was going to get paid. There were seasons where I felt overlooked, underfunded, and misunderstood.
Building a brand, a ministry, and a business with a family of six while trying to stay obedient to God’s call has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
And then there’s the personal battles—
Moments of discouragement.
Moments of questioning.
Moments wondering if what I’m doing is even making a difference.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Obstacles don’t disqualify you—they refine you.
Pressure doesn’t break you—it reveals you.
And every valley has prepared me for every platform.
The Unshakeable Method wasn’t created from theory—it was built from real storms. Financial storms, emotional storms, spiritual storms, marriage storms, leadership storms. I had to learn how to lead when I didn’t feel like a leader. I had to preach faith while walking through fire. I had to raise my kids while raising my calling.
So no, it hasn’t been smooth.
But it’s been purposeful.
Every challenge shaped the message I carry today.
Every setback revealed a strength I didn’t know I had.
And every obstacle brought me closer to who God called me to be.
My story is proof that you don’t need a perfect road to walk in your purpose—you just need to keep walking.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the core, everything I do revolves around one mission: to build people.
Build their faith.
Build their families.
Build their leadership.
Build their resilience.
My wife and I lead Unshakeable Ministries and Unshakeable Coaching & Consulting, two branches of the same calling. Together, they equip people to grow spiritually, emotionally, and professionally through a framework I created called The Unshakeable Method.
What We Do
We serve people in three main ways:
1. Faith-Based Teaching & Devotionals
We create daily devotionals, YouTube Bible studies, group coaching programs, and live community nights that help people grow deeper in God’s Word and discover their identity in Christ.

2. Leadership, Communication & Resilience Training
I teach The Unshakeable Method to corporations, schools, churches, sports teams, and organizations. We’ve trained teams at Aflac, JPMorgan Chase, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Rutgers University, University of North Texas and many more. Our focus is leadership that transforms from the inside out.

3. Family & Marriage Coaching
We help couples, parents, and entire households strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and lead their homes with faith and purpose.

What Sets Us Apart

What makes our brand different is simple:

We don’t teach concepts — we teach from experience.

The Unshakeable Method wasn’t born in a classroom; it was forged in real warfare:

cancer wards
financial struggle
marriage restoration
leadership under pressure
parenting a child with Down Syndrome
building a life from faith instead of guaranteed stability

People connect with us because we don’t sugarcoat anything. We speak from authenticity, vulnerability, and biblical truth. We show the scars and the victories.

We are known nationally because of the viral videos of me dancing with my son during cancer treatment — but what we’re most known for now is the message behind it:
Faith. Family. Leadership. Resilience.
What We’re Most Proud Of
I’m most proud that our brand has stayed pure.
We’ve had opportunities to chase money, trends, or influence — but we’ve stayed committed to purpose, people, and God’s assignment.
I’m proud that families write us saying their marriages were healed.
That teens say their confidence came back.
That leaders tell us they finally understand how to move with clarity and integrity.

The Heart of Our Brand
If readers take away one thing, it’s this:
Unshakeable is not just a brand — it’s a calling.
It’s a movement to strengthen people from the inside out.
It’s a reminder that God can use your pain as power, your story as strategy, and your struggle as seed.
We want people to know:
You don’t have to be perfect to lead.
You just have to be unshakeable.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
One of the things I love most about Dallas is the atmosphere.
The weather, the culture, the environments—there’s an energy here that feels both family-friendly and purpose-driven. My wife and I felt it as soon as we moved. There’s a warmth in the people, opportunity in the air, and a melting pot of faith, creativity, and leadership that makes this city feel like home.
Plus, as a creator and a minister, Dallas is a place where people actually show up for community. You can feel the hunger, the growth, the collaboration. It’s a city that’s building leaders.
What I like least?
Listen… I love this city, but when the Cowboys lose?
Man, the whole atmosphere shifts.
You can feel it in the grocery store aisles. You can feel it at the gas station. You can feel it in church!
It’s like the whole city takes a deep breath and says, “Lord, fix it.”
But honestly, even that is part of the charm. Dallas rides for its people—and its teams.
