Inspiring Conversations with Kiara Thomas of Love How You Heal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Thomas.

Hi Kiara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Love How You Heal was born out of my own personal journey of transformation, faith, and rediscovery. There was a time in my life when I was constantly pouring into others while neglecting myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I gave and gave until I had nothing left to give. It was in that quiet, broken place that God began to speak to me about healing, not as a destination, but as a process, a calling, and a divine act of love.

I realized that healing isn’t just about getting over pain; it’s about learning to love yourself through it. It’s about choosing to show yourself the same grace you freely give to others and allowing God to restore what life has tried to take from you. That revelation became the heartbeat of Love How You Heal.

In the beginning, I didn’t set out to start a business or a brand; I simply wanted to share hope. I started by posting affirmations, reflections, and faith-based reminders online, not realizing that those small seeds would one day grow into a movement. People began reaching out, telling me how much my words helped them through heartbreak, trauma, loss, and even seasons of self-doubt. I saw firsthand how something as simple as a reminder of God’s love could bring light into someone’s darkest moments.

Over time, Love How You Heal became more than a name; it became a message. It became a safe space for people to reconnect with themselves and with God, to unlearn survival mode, and to embrace the beauty of becoming whole again. Our motto, “Healing with Purpose, Loving through Grace,” reflects the very essence of that message. Healing with purpose means understanding that your pain was never meant to destroy you—it was meant to awaken something greater within you. Loving through grace means walking in compassion, both for yourself and for others, even when the process is messy.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that leadership in healing doesn’t always mean having all the answers; it means being willing to be transparent about your process. It means using your own scars as proof that God still heals, still redeems, and still restores. I’ve been blessed to witness how powerful it can be when someone realizes they’re not alone in their struggle, that there’s purpose in their pain, and that peace is waiting on the other side of surrender.

Love How You Heal has become a reflection of everything I’ve learned along the way: that healing is not linear, that growth often requires stillness, and that faith is the foundation that keeps us grounded through every storm. My hope is to inspire others to stop running from what hurt them and instead invite God into it to trust that He can turn even the most broken pieces into something beautiful.

This journey has taught me the importance of living with intention and leading with love. Whether through conversations, prayer, or quiet acts of kindness, I want every encounter with Love How You Heal to remind people that they are seen, they are worthy, and they are capable of healing. Because when one person finds healing, it creates a ripple effect touching families, communities, and generations to come.

At the heart of it all, Love How You Heal is more than a brand; it’s a ministry of hope, a testimony of resilience, and a living example of what it means to surrender to God’s purpose. It’s a reminder that no matter what you’ve been through, you can rise again with purpose, with peace, and with grace.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all; the road has definitely not been smooth, but it has been purposeful. The process of building Love How You Heal came with seasons of doubt, financial challenges, and the emotional weight of helping others heal while still navigating my own healing journey. There were moments where I questioned if I was truly equipped to do this work, to pour into others while still learning how to refill my own cup.

I faced obstacles like balancing time between clients, family, and my personal well-being, as well as the challenges of turning a passion for healing into a sustainable business. There were times when resources were limited, or doors didn’t open the way I expected. But every setback taught me something vital: patience, humility, and faith.

Through prayer and perseverance, I learned that the hard seasons are part of the calling. They refine you, ground you, and remind you that healing isn’t just what you offer to others; it’s what you continually practice within yourself. Every obstacle I’ve faced has strengthened my purpose and deepened my compassion for the people Love How You Heal serves today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Love How You Heal, we focus on whole-person healing emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically. Our mission is to help individuals and families embrace their healing journey with compassion, intention, and grace. We offer a variety of services, including counseling, massage therapy, holistic healing, essential oils, postpartum doula services, ABA therapy, relationship coaching, officiant services, and public notary work. Every service is rooted in our motto: “Healing with Purpose, Loving through Grace.”

What sets Love How You Heal apart is that we don’t see healing as a one-size-fits-all process. We meet people exactly where they are, whether that’s through professional therapy, a massage session, or even a simple conversation at the grocery store. Healing doesn’t always happen in a session or a structured setting; sometimes it happens in the everyday moments when someone feels safe enough to share their story and be heard without judgment.

I’m most proud of the fact that Love How You Heal has become more than just a business; it’s a safe space. We’ve been able to impact lives not only through our services but also through the way we connect with people in our community, offering encouragement and faith-based support to those who may not have access to traditional care.

Our approach is deeply personal, spiritual, and intentional. We believe healing is sacred, and when done with love, grace, and purpose, it creates ripples that transform not just one person, but families and generations to come.

Any big plans?
As Love How You Heal continues to grow, my vision is to expand our reach and create more spaces where people can experience true, authentic healing spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. I see Love How You Heal evolving into a full wellness and empowerment movement that serves individuals, strengthens families, and builds connected communities.

In the upcoming years, we are excited to release our first book, “I Am the Other Woman, and So Was She.” This book is designed to serve as a resource for men and women who have experienced trauma, narcissistic abuse, or other challenging life experiences. It aims to guide readers through their healing journeys, showing them how to embrace their pain, reclaim their power, and walk in self-love and faith.

We are also exploring a possible expansion to Oklahoma, where Love How You Heal’s home church, Transformation Church in Tulsa, is located. This would allow us to bring our mission to new communities and create spaces for healing, growth, and faith-based empowerment beyond our current reach.

Ultimately, our goal is to continue walking in alignment with God’s purpose, creating opportunities for transformation, and inspiring others to embrace their healing journey. I’m looking forward to seeing how Love How You Heal continues to touch lives, guide hearts, and remind people that no matter where they are in life, their story is still being beautifully written with grace.
