Inspiring Conversations with La Bronaca Bradley of Sophisticated Bodywork

Today we’d like to introduce you to La Bronaca Bradley.

Hi La Bronaca, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I have been a licensed massage therapist for 6 years now. I started massage school back in 2015 after losing my job in corporate. I had previously looked into massage therapy as a side gig, and after losing my job, I decided to go for it as a career change as I was burnt out on corporate and office life. Choosing the career change was the best decision I could have made. I love what I do and helping others feel their best within their own bodies. I also enjoy being self-employed and self-managed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Self-employment is never really a smooth road. I first had to change my mindset from needing to work for someone to having the courage to go out on my own. I think this a common fear people have when it comes to exploring self-employment. But with the right support system in your corner and believing in yourself, it’s not impossible. I also go through a lot of trial and error to find what works best for me and my business. I also went through a lot of anxiety when Covid first hit. The uncertainty of how I would be able to continue my practice weighed on me, but it turned out to work in my favor as my business is mobile and the demand for in-home massage increased.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I own and operate a mobile massage business in which I provide massage therapy in the comfort of your home and in a corporate/office setting.

I specialize in a range of different modalities that include Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, cupping, lymphatic drainage massage, prenatal, Thai Massage, and more.

What makes my practice unique is that I’m an intuitive healer. Being an empath, I pick up energy and feel emotion easily. Through my skill and gifts, I’m able to pinpoint the pain, tension, and stress that lives in my clients’ bodies and work it out and away. My clients feel relaxed, calm, and at ease when they leave my massage table or chair.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being able to do what I do and making my clients happy makes me happy. I’m able to use my gift to heal others. Being in corporate was a very unhappy time of my life, I truly feel I’m right where I’m meant to be and that gives me peace of mind, and that’s everything!
