Inspiring Conversations with Lauren Hollingsworth of Incorporate Joi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Hollingsworth.

Lauren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always had a love for love. Growing up, we didn’t really get together for celebrations. It was usually funerals that brought the family together. That stuck with me. It made me realize that every moment, big or small, deserves to be honored. That mindset shaped everything for me.

In 2019, I officially launched my business. I started scared. I didn’t feel fully ready, and I definitely didn’t know everything I was getting myself into, but I took the leap anyway. Every couple, every experience helped me grow, as a planner and as a person. These experiences showed me just how much it means to have someone in your corner. Along the way, I found a mentor, built a support system, and learned just how powerful it is to have people who believe in you. You can’t grow in isolation. Community matters.

I know what it feels like to be truly heard and understood, so that’s how I show up for my clients. I listen. I advocate. I help bring their vision to life in a way that feels like them.

A lot of times, we’re so focused on what’s next that we don’t stop to see how far we’ve come. I’ve been learning to pause, to be proud, and to give myself that grace. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I know I’m just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business is already a leap, but moving to Dallas came with its own set of challenges. I had to reintroduce myself in a new market where I didn’t know anyone, and that meant building trust and credibility from the ground up. There were moments I felt overlooked, discouraged, and questioned if I was even on the right path.

What I’ve learned, though, is that pressure really does produce diamonds. Those hard seasons taught me how to be patient, how to stay true to myself, and how to keep showing up even when it felt hard. It wasn’t always easy, but it shaped me. It reminded me that growth doesn’t come from comfort. I now carry those lessons with me in the way I plan, the way I lead, and the way I serve my clients.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m not trying to be someone I’m not. I’m not here to follow a trend or fit into a box. I care deeply about people, about their stories, and about making sure their moments are celebrated in a way that feels true to them. That’s the heart behind Incorporate Joi.

I plan and produce weddings, milestone celebrations, and corporate events, both local and destination. The events might look different, but the intention behind them stays the same. I plan so that my clients feel guided, cared for, and understood throughout the entire process.

What sets Incorporate Joi apart is the way we care. We lead with empathy and take the time to understand what matters most. This isn’t surface-level service. We advocate for our clients from day one and build real relationships that last a lifetime.

What I’m most proud of is that this brand was built on honesty, connection, and heart. It has always stayed true to who I am. It was never about fitting a mold. It was about creating a space where people feel supported and celebrated during life’s most meaningful moments. That’s exactly what we’ll continue to do.

If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s that when you work with Incorporate Joi, you’re getting a real person who genuinely wants the best for you. You’re getting someone who is present, intentional, and deeply invested in making your experience unforgettable. I care about the outcome, but I care even more about how you feel throughout the journey. That’s what makes it special.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I’m grateful for this opportunity to share my story. Being in Dallas has been an exciting new chapter for me and for Incorporate Joi. It has pushed me to grow, to stretch my vision, and to stand even more confidently in what I bring to the table.

Wherever this journey leads, I’m thankful to be doing work that brings people together in a meaningful way.

If we ever get the chance to work together, just know your event will be crafted with care, designed with edge, and executed with Joi every single time.
