Inspiring Conversations with Lonny Green of Happily Ever Eden Decor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lonny Green

Hi Lonny, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I used to think I didn’t have a single creative bone in my body—especially compared to my sister, who is incredibly talented in the arts, from painting and drawing to crafting. Event decor never felt like a creative pursuit to me; it just seemed like work. But one day, the Lord opened my eyes to see it as a unique form of art—one that brings people joy and creates that ‘wow’ moment when they step into a beautifully decorated room. For about four years, I volunteered at various events and worked weddings as part of the decor team, and I found myself loving it more with each experience. It became clear to me that I could take this passion and turn it into something of my own.

When I shared my dream of launching an event decor business with my husband, Landen, he was fully supportive. He helped me establish my LLC and even offered valuable insights along the way (Ladies, find yourselves a man who supports your dreams!). With my background in UI/UX design, I took charge of creating my website, posters, and flyers to bring my vision to life. I did a soft launch of Happily Ever Eden Decor this past January, and so far, all of my clients have come through word-of-mouth. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey for Happily Ever Eden Decor!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a gradual journey, and I’ve had to take what I learned from my past experiences and adapt them to my own style. Without a large social media following, launching an event decor business in a crowded market has certainly had its challenges. However, with consistency, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous learning—like taking event design courses and seeking advice from seasoned event designers—I’ve been able to carve out my own path.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Happily Ever Eden Decor?
