Inspiring Conversations with Meghan Savage of Thrive Holistic Health

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Savage.

Meghan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My path to founding Thrive Holistic Health has been shaped by two very different worlds. After earning my MBA from Baylor University, I spent five years working in pharmaceutical marketing. While it was a valuable experience, I couldn’t ignore how misaligned it felt with what I believed deep down. Being immersed in that environment made me more aware of the limits of a one-size-fits-all approach and strengthened the tug I felt to pursue a different path.

Holistic health had always been close to my heart. Growing up, I regularly saw a bioenergetic practitioner, and those experiences stayed with me for decades. Over time, I became fascinated with Eastern medicine, homeopathy, herbalism, and especially the body’s innate wisdom and ability to heal itself. Eventually, I knew this was more than curiosity. It was the work I was meant to do.

That’s what inspired me to create Thrive Holistic Health, a holistic practice focused on wellness, detox, and transformation. I specialize in bioenergetic testing and functional nutrition, offering a way to identify where the body may be stressed or weakened by things like bacteria, parasites, heavy metals, or other toxins. Thrive’s process provides a clear roadmap for supporting balance and guiding the body back toward optimal health.

Many of my clients come to me after trying everything, doctors, specialists, countless treatments, or they arrive with “mystery symptoms” that no one can explain. By looking at the body’s energy, we are often able to uncover imbalances long before they fully manifest physically.

Energy health is powerful because it is both preventative and deeply comprehensive. It allows us to see several layers beneath the surface and understand the body as a connected network of systems rather than isolated parts. In many ways, it’s like piecing together a puzzle, showing how different stressors interact and where the body most needs support. That ability to see the bigger picture is at the heart of the work I do today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey hasn’t been smooth, and to be honest, it can feel isolating at times. As an entrepreneur, so many decisions rest on your shoulders, from figuring out the direction of the business to managing the finances, and it’s easy to get fatigued from constant decision-making. There were moments when I wasn’t sure if I was making the right call, and learning to trust my instincts took time.

Finding mentors who had walked this path before was incredibly valuable. Their guidance helped me navigate uncertainty and reminded me that feeling unsure is part of growth. Another challenge has been educating the public about energy medicine. Many people don’t realize how powerful preventative, holistic approaches can be, so explaining what Thrive does in a way that resonates has been a learning curve.

Even with these challenges, every experience has reinforced why I do this work. They’ve strengthened my clarity, resilience, and commitment to helping others discover the body’s capacity to heal. It’s not always easy, but it’s deeply rewarding.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Thrive Holistic Health is a holistic practice focused on wellness, detox, and transformation. I help people understand their bodies as a connected system rather than separate parts. Using bioenergetic testing, I detect areas of stress or imbalance in the body, from nutrient deficiencies to hormonal or microbial issues, even when traditional tests show nothing. This gives me a clear picture to create a plan that supports the body’s natural ability to heal.

Many of my clients come to me after struggling for years with issues like digestive discomfort, aches and pains, fertility challenges, menstrual irregularities, or hormonal and emotional fluctuations. Through testing, I uncover not just obvious stressors like bacteria, but also underlying contributors like mold exposure, past infections, environmental stress, or unresolved emotional trauma. I guide each client through a personalized protocol, including detox support, nutrition, supplements, and energy work, aimed at removing obstacles and strengthening the body.

The results are incredibly rewarding. Clients often share wins across the board, healthier digestion, restored fertility, balanced hormones, sharper thinking, more energy, clearer skin, and so much more! What makes Thrive different is how all the pieces are put together. Seeing clients have those ‘aha’ moments, finally understanding why their body has been behaving the way it has, is always one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

I’m proud that Thrive offers a natural, body-aligned path to health. Thrive brings balance to the wellness space, helping people address root causes and support their body in a way that feels intuitive, safe, and effective

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about this city is how genuinely kind and welcoming people are. It’s incredibly family-friendly, with plenty of activities for kids, and there’s no shortage of things to do, from parks and trails to local events and amazing restaurants. It’s easy to feel part of the community here.

If I had to pick one thing I like least, it would be that some areas could use a bit more greenery and trees. That said, it makes discovering the city’s parks and hidden green spaces even more rewarding.
