Hi Meredith, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to the artistry and precision of oculofacial plastic surgery. After completing my residency at UT Southwestern, I pursued advanced fellowship training at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan, where I specialized in both functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery. From there, I spent a decade as a partner in a well-established oculofacial plastic surgery group, which was an incredible experience and really shaped the surgeon I am today.
Over time, I realized I wanted to create something more personal—an experience where patients feel truly cared for, with access to both surgical and non-surgical options in a seamless, well-rounded approach. That vision led me to open my own practice, where every treatment is tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. My guiding philosophy has always been to provide the highest level of care in a setting that feels both welcoming and elevated. I want my patients to feel at ease, knowing they’re getting personalized treatments and exceptional service. More than anything, I want them to feel heard, valued, and confident. It’s been incredibly fulfilling to turn that vision into reality.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely been a rewarding journey, but like any path worth taking, it hasn’t been without its challenges. Starting my own practice came with its fair share of obstacles, especially in the beginning. Building something from the ground up can be scary. There were plenty of moments where I wasn’t sure if I was making the right decision, but every step, every challenge, has been worth it. I’m proud of what I’ve built and grateful for the opportunity to create a practice that truly reflects my values and approach to patient care.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Abbott Aesthetics?
My practice is all about providing a personalized, concierge-level experience for patients seeking both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments. We specialize in oculofacial plastic surgery, particularly eyelid surgery, both for functional and cosmetic purposes. Our goal is to enhance natural beauty while also addressing any functional concerns patients may have—whether that’s lifting droopy eyelids or rejuvenating the delicate skin around the eyes.
In addition to that, we offer a wide range of treatments like Botox, fillers, and laser treatments, ensuring we can meet our patients’ unique needs and help them reach their overall wellness and aesthetic goals. What I’m most proud of is the environment my staff and I have created—one where patients feel heard, valued and can count on to get the best, most personalized treatment possible.
How do you think about luck?
I’m not sure I’d call it luck, but I’ve certainly been fortunate to have a supportive network of people around me who have helped me stay on this path and move forward. Ultimately, I believe that a balance of hard work, a bit of luck, and the willingness to keep learning and evolving has been key to getting where I am today.
