Hi Nadia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Chai by Nadiya started as a deeply personal expression of culture, comfort, and connection. What began in my kitchen as a way to share my love for authentic Karak and Kashmiri chai with friends and family quickly transformed into a growing brand rooted in warmth, tradition, and modern creativity. Growing up in Pakistan and living United Arab Emirates chai was more than a drink. It was a ritual, a moment of pause, conversation, and bonding.
Today, Chai by Nadiya blends those roots with a contemporary vision through handcrafted chai blends, curated mugs, and immersive experiences. Every cup and mixture showcases my Pakistani and Kashmiri heritage to the community. My mission has always been simple: to turn everyday moments into meaningful ones, one cup of chai at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many entrepreneurs, my journey has not been without challenges. Building a Chai brand from the ground up meant navigating licensing, sourcing ingredients, packaging, branding, and scaling all while maintaining quality and authenticity.
Breaking into a saturated market required me to learn marketing, storytelling, and customer engagement from scratch. There were moments of self-doubt, financial uncertainty, and long nights of trial and error. But each challenge strengthened my vision and reminded me why I started to create something meaningful, rooted in love, culture, and purpose. I started to share this via my Instagram reels. My everyday chai moments started connecting with the Instafamily and the conversation started buzzing! This created a push to create the chai mixture and share the love with everyone!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Chai by Nadiya is more than a brand to me, it’s a reflection of my culture, my memories, and the moments that bring people together. At its heart is my take on traditional Karak chai, offered through a thoughtfully crafted instant chai mix designed for modern life. It’s made for busy days, travel, and moments when you still want the comfort of real chai. You can simply add hot water, or simmer it in boiling water for a stronger brew, or prepare it with milk for a richer, creamier taste, just the way chai is meant to be enjoyed.
My work is deeply rooted in my heritage. I proudly make the Kashmiri chai (Noon Chai) which a traditional salted pink tea that holds generations of cultural significance. Prepared authentically and delivered locally, it’s a way for me to preserve and share a ritual that feels both nostalgic and deeply personal.
Beyond chai, I’ve recently launched the Peacock Muse Mug Collection, inspired by modern Pakistani truck art. It’s bold, expressive, and full of life. Available in six vibrant colors, each mug is designed to be the perfect size for a cup of chai. The collection blends color with elegance, turning everyday chai moments into something special. Chai by Nadiya has grown through the power of community, collaboration, and genuine support. From local creatives and small businesses to influencers, artists, and cultural brands, every partnership has been rooted in shared values and mutual respect. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to collaborate with brands and entrepreneurs who believe in authenticity and storytelling as much as I do.
