Inspiring Conversations with Naz Bass of N&B Street Notary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naz Bass.

Hi Naz, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Las Vegas, I earned my degree in Economics from the University of Miami, where I also studied Business Law and Marketing. After college, I began my career in Dallas, working in sales and recruiting before returning home to help my mother rebuild her small businesses. Later, I transitioned into IT recruiting, gaining skills in SQL, Python, and tech communication.

In 2023, I combined my experience in business, technology, and customer service to launch my online and mobile notary business. My mission is to make notarization simple, secure, and accessible — providing clients with reliable service and peace of mind while maintaining the flexibility to be there for my family and community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t believe a smooth road exists for anyone — and starting my notary business was no exception. The industry is highly competitive, and building reliable technology for handling sensitive information while maintaining great customer service can be challenging. When I first became a notary, I quickly learned that most online platforms were oversaturated, making it difficult to gain real experience or consistent clients. To overcome this, I joined a more beginner-friendly platform, often working odd hours to build my reputation and learn the ropes.

After several months, I realized the importance of bringing in my own clients and standing out through service and innovation. Using my tech background, I built my own website and developed a more personalized, “white glove” notary platform for both businesses and the general public. This approach has helped me serve over 2,500 clients in just two years — offering a more affordable, seamless, and customer-focused notarization experience.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At N & B Street Notary, we believe every signature tells a story and every client deserves to be treated with care. Our “why” is simple: we believe in helping others in need, no matter how big or small the task may be — with optimism, humility, and genuine care. When we help others grow, we grow too.

This belief drives everything we do, from guiding first-time homebuyers through real estate signings to assisting families with estate planning. Trust, compassion, and professionalism are at the heart of our service.

At N & B Street Notary, we are a family-owned business built on professionalism, trust, and dedication. As a husband-and-wife team, we combine years of expertise in business, brand marketing, and notarial services to deliver seamless solutions for individuals and organizations across Texas and beyond.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is visiting my grandfather with my brother and sister, and going on early morning fishing trips on his boat. He made every experience special — waking us up before sunrise to visit the bait shop, teaching us how to prep the boat, and showing us the importance of doing things the right way. On one unforgettable trip, we caught seven dolphin fish and seven mahi-mahi, but what I truly took away was the lesson that hard work always pays off. My grandfather, a successful business owner who wired electrical systems for many of New York City’s fast-food chains, taught me the value of dedication, attention to detail, and making people feel welcome — often with his unforgettable, warm smile and witty dad jokes.
