Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Jackson.
Hi Nikki, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
As I look back, God was preparing me… It all started from our family own brands Just a Queen with goals, Princess Collections, and Young Kings. Our collections t-shirts, hoodies, hats, water bottles, tumblers, candles, self-defense key chains, journals.
Often times we would hear our brands are inspiring. Reminding women not to forget about “Self,” girls to always know they are princesses and that boys are young kings
We launch a nonprofit organization after our brands adding the word empowering.
Just A Queen with Goals Empowering Women Nonprofit is bridging the gaps throughout DFW area, impacting over 200 families, serving over 50 different zip codes. By providing monthly family events and workshops focused on empowering families, the program has helped to strengthen family dynamics, promote cultural awareness and diversity, and address critical needs and gaps. The expert speakers, online resources, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities provided by the program have equipped families with the tools and support they need to become more resilient, self-sufficient, and successful Overall, the program has made a substantial impact in the DFW area and its benefits will continue to be felt for years to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been. Our number #1 struggle is funding. We currently have monthly payments that needs to be paid in order to keep our programs running. Another struggle is having the support on our back end, administrative side, and dependable mentors, donors, and volunteers.
As you know, we’re big fans of Just A Queen With Goals Empowering Women Nonprofit. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
