Today we’d like to introduce you to Osmin And Alma Sariles.
Hi Osmin and Alma, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The DUO
Casa Mia Latin Cuisine is owned and operated by husband and wife duo, Osmin and Alma, who are creative entrepreneurs, accomplished businessmen, strong team builders, customer relation gurus, and who, most importantly, have a passion for authentic Latin Cuisine! Two Locations: Lewisville and Little Elm TX
Osmin was born in New Jersy sometime after his parents immigrated from El Salvador in 1972. He grew up in the restaurant industry as he helped his parents operate three highly successful restaurants, Rincon Latin, located in the greater Dallas Metroplex. In 2018 Osmin decided to follow his parents, Osmin Sr and Reina Sariles footsteps and created Casa Mia Latin Cuisine.
Alma was born in El Salvador and immigrated to Houston in 1992, 11 years after her parents did in 1981. Her passion for hospitality began 26 years ago, managing boutique retail stores.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our main obstacles have been the economic downturn, which has significantly impacted our business. There have been numerous weeks and days of working tirelessly to stay afloat and ensure our survival.
We’ve been impressed with Casa Mia Latin Cuisine, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are committed to bringing Latin flavors to life through a fusion of authentic Salvadoran and Mexican cuisines. Our goal is to craft dishes of exceptional quality in a warm, family-friendly environment, using only the freshest ingredients. Most importantly, we provide heartfelt hospitality the Casa Mia way, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One important lesson we’ve learned is to always treat our staff members with respect and to make them feel valued within our organization. Recognizing that their input matters and should be part of our vision is essential. We’ve discovered that happy staff members lead to happy guests.
