Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Flowers.
Hi Rachel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, with a mother who taught me early that everything has a home. That simple lesson planted a deep love for order, beauty, and intentional living. At 19, I followed a pull toward a more aligned life and moved to Hawaii with almost nothing. Living minimally in a tiny jungle hale, studying permaculture, and spending time immersed in nature showed me how closely our outer environment impacts how we feel and function day to day. I learned that we cannot truly thrive until we remove what is crowding us at the root.
Years later, during early motherhood which brought me back to Fort Worth, I found myself craving peace, clarity, and grounding. Organizing became more than tidying. It became a practical way to reduce stress and regain control during a season of change. My KonMari journey grew into my business, Choose Flow, where I now help clients declutter and design homes that support their lifestyle, nervous system, and daily rhythms. Alongside organizing, I also offer wellness consulting, advising individuals and families on how to live more toxin free lives through conscious product choices, natural materials, and simple sustainable habits. My work is about creating spaces and routines that feel clean, supportive, and intentionally lived in.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Coming back to Fort Worth after seven years in Hawaii was one of the hardest transitions of my life. I came back because I found out I was pregnant. I had spent years traveling, surfing, living on a boat, free diving, spearfishing, and swimming with whales and dolphins. My life was ocean, movement, and freedom. Returning to Texas felt like being stranded in a desert, both emotionally and physically.
I was a new single mom, starting from absolute ground zero. Financially, I had very little. I had to relearn how to live, how to support myself and my child, and how to build stability from scratch with no roadmap, but the blessing of a supportive family. I built my website on my own, taught myself how to run a business, and started Choose Flow from scratch with limited funds and a lot of uncertainty.
There were moments where it felt overwhelming and isolating, like I had lost the life I once knew. But piece by piece, I rebuilt. What started as survival slowly turned into something sustainable. That experience shaped how I work today. I understand what it means to start over, to rebuild with intention, and to create order and clarity when everything feels uncertain.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Choose Flow LLC • Professional Organizing?
Choose Flow is a professional organizing and wellness consulting business focused on helping people create homes that feel calm, functional, and supportive to everyday life. I specialize in decluttering, intentional home organization, custom closets, custom garage storage builds, and guiding clients toward more toxin free living through conscious product choices, natural materials, and sustainable habits.
What sets my work apart is that I do not treat organizing as just rearranging belongings. I focus on reducing visual noise, decision fatigue, and excess so clients can feel immediate relief and long term ease in their space! My approach blends practical systems with lifestyle support, helping people create environments that actually work for their routines, nervous system, and who they are becoming.
I am known for working closely with clients one on one, meeting them where they are, and building solutions that are realistic. Whether I am organizing a home, consulting on low toxin swaps, or helping someone reset their space after a major life transition, the goal is always the same: simplicity, clarity, and sustainability.
Brand wise, I am most proud that Choose Flow was built entirely from the ground up. Every part of the business, from the website to the client experience, was created intentionally and thoughtfully. I want readers to know that my work is rooted in real life experience, and from a place of care and compassion. Choose Flow is about creating homes and habits that support how people actually live, with less excess and more ease.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next five to ten years, I see Choose Flow expanding beyond individual organizing projects into a more integrated lifestyle and home wellness brand. While one on one client work will always be foundational, my long term vision is to collaborate closely with holistic home builders who specialize in toxin free, health focused construction and renovations. I want to be involved early in the design process so homes are built intentionally from the inside out, supporting both physical health and daily living.
I also see the business growing into a multidisciplinary offering that includes nutrition counseling and holistic life therapy through trusted collaborators. My role would be to help bridge the gap between the home, the body, and daily routines, ensuring that the spaces people live in truly support their overall well being.
In the future, I envision Choose Flow as a resource for families who want to live more consciously without overwhelm. Whether that is through consulting on healthier homes, guiding lifestyle transitions, or working alongside aligned professionals, the goal is to create environments and systems that support long term health, simplicity, and ease.
