Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosemary Osondu.
Hi Rosemary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a proud Nigerian-American from Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria, and the founder and owner of Rose Style Studio, a luxury hair salon in the heart of Dallas, Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington before fully stepping into my passion for the beauty industry.
My mission has always been to bridge the gap between healthy hair care and high-quality extensions. Through Rose Style Studio, I’ve built a brand that offers custom extension pieces shipped nationwide, paired with exceptional service, premium products, and a client-first experience that empowers women to feel confident and beautiful.
Deeply rooted in faith, culture, and community, I strive to lead with excellence and authenticity. Whether behind the chair, developing products, or mentoring others, I’m committed to the power of transformation, both in beauty and in life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building my salon and e-commerce business has been one of the most rewarding and challenging chapters of my life. When I first started, I didn’t fully understand that I would be wearing two hats at once, the stylist and the CEO. Some days I would be behind the chair for hours, and other days I was sourcing extensions, creating systems, training staff, and figuring out how to grow an online brand from the ground up.
One of my biggest challenges was learning how to train and lead a team while maintaining a luxury standard. Every stylist I hired came with different skill levels and habits, and it was my responsibility to elevate them to the level my brand required. The training wasn’t just technical, it was about professionalism, communication, timing, and creating an experience that matched the quality my clients expect.
At the same time, launching my e-commerce brand introduced a whole new world. Managing inventory, shipping, customer service, and digital marketing felt like running a second business entirely. E-commerce doesn’t sleep, so I had to learn quickly and make decisions that would support long-term growth.
There were financial pressures, long days, and moments where I questioned if I could truly do it all. But each obstacle pushed me to grow into a stronger leader. I had to address my weaknesses, create better systems, and step fully into the role of a visionary, not just a stylist.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rose Style Studio?
Beyond the salon, I mentor aspiring stylists and businesswomen, serve on a board & volunteer with non-profits, speak at events, and use my platform to advocate for self-care, confidence, and the beauty of embracing one’s journey. Whether I’m partnering with organizations like the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders or serving everyday women in my community, my mission remains the same: to elevate beauty, honor individuality, and create transformational experiences that last far beyond the salon chair.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
