Hi Samantha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business in November of 2015. I got where I am by believing in myself and not worrying about what other people thought and the negative things they had to say.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road for me at all. I didn’t make any money my first two years in business and hardly had any content to feature in my magazine but I didn’t give up I kept going and eventually in 2017 I won my first award and also booked my first celebrity cover feature.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Chic is an acronym for Create Help Inspire Change. What sets me apart from other magazines is that we are geared towards promoting and encouraging entrepreneurship.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was kind of lost not sure where I fit in at but eventually, I created my own path and found my way.
