Hi Sharon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been anything but linear, and that’s what makes it beautiful. I started my professional life in nursing, working as a registered nurse for over a decade. But I’ve always had a creative side and an entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2017, I launched multiple brands — including a baby and motherhood line and a beauty brand — leveraging the power of Amazon. What began as a small idea grew into a trademarked brand with over a million dollars in sales.
After years in healthcare and e-commerce, I felt drawn to something that combined both heart and artistry — creating experiences. That’s how Events D’Lux was born. What began as small gatherings for family and friends has evolved into a full-service luxury event design and décor company based in Dallas. We now transform spaces into unforgettable experiences for weddings, galas, and corporate events.
Every chapter of my journey — from caring for people to building brands from scratch — has shaped how I design today. I lead with empathy, obsess over details, and believe every event should tell a story. Seeing my clients’ faces light up when they walk into a transformed space will always be my favorite part.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the interconnectivity of the different cities that makes it one big hub, but also hate the traffic that can ground you if you head out at the wrong time
