Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephany Dedman
Hi Stephany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all started with a love for this community and a desire to bring something to Little Elm that embodied the vibe of its motto: “The Town with a Lake Attitude.” My sisters have tea shops like ours in their own towns in Alabama, and every time we visited, we dreamed of creating something similar here in Little Elm.
From the moment we arrived five years ago, we fell in love with this town. For three years, we held onto the dream of opening our own shop. We were making teas at home for ourselves, testing recipes, and planning out our vision. Before we knew it, we were all addicted. Finally, after months of searching, we stumbled upon our little suite 206, remodeled the space, and six months later, in August 2024, we opened Lakefront Energy.
Our goal was to create a space where people could enjoy drinks that aren’t just delicious but also give them a little boost—whether it’s energy, protein, or a refreshing pick-me-up to power through the day.
Living in a community full of active, health-conscious individuals, we wanted to build a welcoming space where they could grab a healthy drink and have an amazing, personable experience every time they walk through our door. We’ve always loved connecting with people, and Lakefront Energy became the perfect way to do that.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any new small business, we’ve encountered challenges such as getting our name out there and letting people know we’re here. We are kind of tucked away from the main, downtown traffic of Little Elm so it’s hard for many people to find us.
However, we have really put our focus on exceptional customer service, engaging with the community through social media, and participating in as many town events as we could. There have been so many long and exhausting days from open to close. It has taken all of us playing a special part in making Lakefront Energy what it is.
Lakefront Energy is truly a family-run business—we’re all involved in some way. We’ve since overcome several challenges that come with opening a new business and gained so many loyal customers (some even coming in multiple times a day). This is our first brick-and-mortar, storefront business so we had no idea what to expect and we’re still learning every day, but God has opened so many doors for us and has guided us along this journey in ways that we couldn’t have done on our own.

It’s the vibe! We’re not just a shop, we’re a part of the community. Our customers aren’t just people who walk in—they’re friends and family. We love that we are small enough to add personal touches and get to know everyone by name when they come in. We’re family-owned and ran and we want people to feel that small, beach-town vibe. We want every visit to feel like more than just grabbing a drink—it’s an experience. We place a big focus on our customer service and we want everyone to leave more than happy. We want to bring positivity, joy, and encouragement to people when they come in. There’s nothing like when people come in on their way to work, dreading the day, and we can give them some energy and have them walking out the door smiling. The relationships we have built has been one of the most rewarding parts. Seeing regulars walk in, knowing their orders by heart, or hearing about everyone’s life—it’s the best feeling.
As for the menu, we have a variety of energy teas, protein shakes, coffees, and seasonal snacks like bubble waffles and açaí bowls. We love getting creative with our drinks, especially for any holiday or special events. Whether it’s a festive Christmas menu, beachy teas, or fun movie-themed drinks for events in town, we’re always coming up with something new to make every occasion a little more exciting!
Our drinks are also fully customizable, so whether you want something low-calorie, feel like indulging, or even if you just want an icy refreshment with no energy or protein at all, we’ve got you covered!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Definitely the convenience and vibrant atmosphere. The area offers everything anyone could ask for. There’s always something happening, from concerts and local events, to all kinds of outdoor activities.
Although, the traffic can be crazy and anyone in Texas knows the summer heat is no joke!
