Hi Suzanne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
At age 27, I developed fibromyalgia, which was alarming and lonely. As I educated myself, I learned that it was a nervous system disorder AND that it was possible to heal the nervous system. I knew I could improve, so I refused to give up.
The number one thing my doctor recommended was deep relaxation meditation to create a sense of calm and safety in my body again. I quickly realized these practices were beneficial for everyone.
Over time, my meditation practice led me to Reiki, the Chakras, somatic emotional release, and spiritual guide connection. I became a certified Reiki Master in Angelic and traditional Japanese Usui Reiki and an Advanced Chakra Practitioner. I am becoming the guide I needed when I started my journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It took me a decade to relieve my pain and feel like myself again. It was a meaningful journey with powerful mentors and healers. Two quotes continue to resonate:

Each life challenge is an initiation and a push toward purpose. To begin my healing business, I needed to shift mentally from patient and student to practitioner and teacher. Running a business, of course, has its challenges, but each new step brings excitement and personal growth. I recently rented an office suite and moved out of my home office. This big step is equal parts challenging and exciting.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Healing Home Reiki?
My business, Healing Home Reiki, guides women in their healing and spiritual journeys. Reiki and Chakra energy work are the mainstay of my healing tools for their profound ability to release old emotions and restore safety in the body. If you want to tap into your innate abundance and potential, I lead you into deep presence with yourself, and we restore your mind-body-spirit connection.
I recently moved into an office suite in North Richland Hills, TX, and I love my new space. I offer in-person and virtual sessions.
I integrate Angelic Reiki, Usui Reiki, Mindfulness Meditation, Chakra Energetics, and Somatic Release to create the healing experience. The focus of my work depends on the client. We may be relieving chronic stress and triggering emotional patterns. Or, we may be connecting with spiritual guides and expanding intuition.
I guide my clients into a “relaxation response” and channel Reiki. We address what comes up together, as energy and emotions shift and release.
Reiki holistically addresses the body, emotions, mind, and spirit, creating a cascade of beneficial effects. It often feels like a gentle, glowing radiance of loving energy flowing through and around you. When the session is over, clients usually feel a sense of clarity, relief, and hope that wasn’t there when they first arrived. Over time, this shift creates a positive feedback loop that releases tension, supports the body’s natural healing abilities, and shifts our mental perspective. Healing is about returning to your natural state of wholeness and the innate well-being of your energy field.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to listen to your body. The body communicates with us in subtle yet powerful ways—through stress, physical symptoms, and emotional cues. Chronic stress takes hold when we ignore our needs, boundaries, and inner voice. This is the essence of what I help people rediscover: their own inner sanctuary and knowing.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work is when clients shift to finding life enjoyable again. Life starts to feel like play, and their possibilities expand.

How do you think about luck?
I am lucky to have incredibly supportive parents. I am also grateful for receiving a good education. I used to see the things that made me feel broken, like my injuries that led to fibromyalgia, as bad luck. However, that healing ultimately led me to the work that lights me up. My “bad luck” has created opportunities to grow and forced me down extraordinary paths I wouldn’t have known about.
