Inspiring Conversations with Tamara Mosley of Crossing Jordan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Mosley.

Hi Tamara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am Tamara Mosley, the daughter of a preacher man and a missionary. My dad and mom raised my family up in the church, some would say “The Way” what that meant is, I was raised to have good morals and respect order and discipline. I am the youngest of five children and was the first to receive a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. My dad’s expectation for his girls was for us to not come home pregnant before finishing high school and to get a job. My mother would silently cheer me on to go after all of my dreams and “Dare to be different.” What I took from that messaging was to not just take the path that was modeled before me but chart the unknown path. The words dare to be different has been a guiding light for me to do things that are uncommon and be the change that I want to see in the world. Although education and career are extremely important to me, I believe that my greatest endeavor so far is the honor of being a wife to a compassionate and loving husband and a mother to a beautifully brilliant daughter. They are awesome!

I have got to the level of business owner by keeping my eyes on the prize. There were many people who came to say do not do it this way or that way but I remained focused on my goal for myself. Keep dreaming, believing, and goal setting.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No success come without its challenges, it was not and has not been a smooth road. Although I pray for my way to be made easy, I will admit that there were times that the road got really rough and I have wanted to quit. Instead of quitting, I leaned into my faith, reset my goals, recalibrated, and moved forward. In the past couple of years, I experienced “Imposter Syndrome” where many question if they are enough to be where they have clearly grown to. Sometimes we look at others around us and do not feel qualified to be in the room and begin to question ourselves about if we really deserve what we have been blessed with. I now know that “If you were not supposed to be their sis, you would not be at the table.” I look back on that season of my life with grace but wish for others not to put too much pressure on themselves but rather believe in all that you are and have, you are enough!!! It may be rough right now, but as you course correct you will find the smoother path.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business is a Counseling and Consulting practice for those experiencing relationship challenges. Many professionals find themselves to be extremely successful in career but struggle with obtaining the ideal relationship. My practice helps people become clear about what they want an navigate the course to getting there. Most people know what they do not want in relationship but rarely have the clarity of thought and mind to truly figure out exactly what they want, how to obtain it, and most importantly how to sustain it. Relationships can be tough, but it does not have to be. Sometimes, it is about working with the right person to help you understand what is clogging up the sink, remove the barrier and get you flowing in the life of your desire.

Crossing Jordan is a program that is person-centered and tailored to each client’s specific need. I am most proud of my counseling and consulting practice because I have seen how the framework has helped women to achieve relationship success in relatively short periods of time.

I’d like readers to know that there is a solution to the problem that you think you may have, there is hope and there is someone for everyone and YOU deserve all of the good things. Not just in your career but in your Life as a whole.

We offer a free consultation, individual, couples pre and post-marital counseling, invest in yourself to get yourself to the next stage of your life.
