Hi Taylor, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Wild Pistol Traveling Boutique was created because when I would shop at boutiques I could not find my style or size. I saw a gap in the market for affordable, size-inclusive fashion that actually felt bold and original. I wanted to create a space where all sizes could feel that same freedom to express themselves.
Pop-up tents were the starting place for our boutique. Our beloved trailer, Wilma, took about a year and a half to bring to life. We completely gutted her down to the bare bones and started fresh, rebuilding every inch with love and intention. This dream took a lot of time, effort, and passion. I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support system around me. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
I’ve grown this business one customer at a time—modeling, marketing, and managing everything myself—while balancing being a mom, wife, and entrepreneur. Without my customers supporting my dream I would not be where I am today. Whether by word of mouth, sharing, or liking I appreciate all of it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Running a boutique as a one-woman show means I wear every hat.. buying, marketing, photographing, editing, shipping, and still showing up as a mom and wife. There have been moments of self-doubt, comparing myself to bigger boutiques, and wondering if I was doing enough. Balancing finances, canceled events, and trying to grow without debt has also been a challenge.
But those struggles have shaped Wild Pistol into what it is today. They’ve helped me persevere and stay true to my vision even when the road feels bumpy. Every obstacle has pushed me to test my creative side and adapt quickly. I have missed some events and quality time over the past two years, but this journey has pushed me to be a better version of myself.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Outside of the boutique I am always on the go. Watching my kids play sports, the mountains, friends and family, outdoor activities, coaching softball, and many other things make me happy.
Life isn’t about how many followers or likes you have, the amount of cars in your garage, or even the size of the house you end up in. I know at the end of this ride none of that will matter. It will be the millions of small moments and people surrounding me that hit home. And that is happiness to me.
