Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiana Griffin.
Hi Tiana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to massage therapy was proceeded by call center customer service work. I was not passionate about that work, however it did expose me to what I am deeply passionate about today: massage therapy. Almost 9 years ago, I was the token “shoulder rubber” in the office. My former co-worker dropped a gem that I cherished from that moment forward. She said, hey your really really good at this. She looked me in the eye and said seriously you could be a massage therapist.
From there, I never looked back. Massage therapy has made me a better person. I am more patient. More empathetic. I have deepened my capacity to love, to really see people and care about the wellness of others. Massage introduced me to meditation. Now I stay more grounded and am slow to anger. Over time I have become a Zen master who enjoys spreading my calm energy to anyone I am around and especially those who are on my massage table. I love to make people feel their best. I have a knack for soothing away pain via masterful technical modalities whilst also fostering a stress free experience that settles the mind and the nervous system.
I joined these skills for over a total of 8 years. Some at a day spa in Plano, and some at a massage boutique in Frisco. At the top of 2026, I evolved my career by opening Synergetic Massage By Tiana LLC. I am so proud of myself because for so long I was afraid to branch out on my own for numerous reasons. Being a woman of faith, God brought me to a place of bravery and strength to where I cast those fears aside and decided to take a risk. Entrepreneurship isn’t easy these days, but truly for massage therapists, it has never been easier. We have so many tools and user friendly systems available to us now than when I became licensed back on 2017. I realized, I no longer have an excuse. I decided to get out of my own way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My main challenge was to get to the point where I was brave and bold enough to start my own massage practice. I used to tend to fall into these comfort zones of just being content. Financial circumstances pushed me out of that comfort zone. Heaven sent epiphanies gave me clarity. Consistent repeat clients and excellent feedback gave me courage. The only thing left was to just dive in and stop telling myself no. The only way forward was right in front of me the whole time. Now it’s an emphatic YES. My word of the year is Open. I’m just open and willing and ready to learn and try and do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
What people should know is that I am not just another massage therapist. In a growing wellness industry, we are abundantly available. It’s rare to find a licensed massage therapist who has gifted hands as well as a natural ability to connect to people’s physiological needs and preferences. My ears listen intently to what you tell me in our consultation. Then backed by anatomical knowledge and assessment, I allow my hands to listen to your body. I intuitively find the source of the pain.
Another thing people should know is that my pace and flow technique is purely fluid and unique. While my hands and forearms flow and glide freely, they also find precision as tension melts away. My flow has been described as a slow waltz. People have no choice but to relax and unwind under my care.
What are your plans for the future?
Just to grow my business and continue to expand my knowledge and craft. I am constantly learning and taking continuing education to stay on top of my craft.
I look forward to marketing to the surrounding communities. I love to massage nurses, teachers, people who work in IT, those who work from home, dancers, runners, athletes, etc. I also love to help people who help people. I don’t discriminate on my clientele. Every “body”, needs massage. I have plenty of love, care, and Zen vibes to go around so spread the word. I invite you to book a session for yourself. Experience the Synergetic Difference
