Inspiring Conversations with Tolechia Lane of Real Estate Agent with TD Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tolechia Lane.

Hi Tolechia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always wanted to be in real estate. I love beautiful homes and the fact that I can invest in them and build wealth for myself, and my family is a bonus. So ultimately, I got started to help myself after purchasing my first home, but I also wanted to help others around me and in my community achieve the goal of homeownership too.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. In fact, it was a lot of hard work and still is to this very day. Buying a home is a big financial move for most people and it has a lot of moving parts. For one, the person wanting to buy has to be ready mentally and financially and that takes work. From the moment someone decides they want to purchase a home, I have to walk them through the process of getting their credit and finances in order and that process alone can take several months.

I’ll have someone that starts the process with me and then life happens, they get frustrated, give up, or decide to work with someone else altogether and I can’t get back time that I’ve invested into helping someone.

But the ones that stick with me, cross the finish line and I hand them the keys to their home, it is such an amazing feeling for them and me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Real Estate Agent with TD Realty?
I’m a Fort Worth–based Realtor known for being hands-on, patient, and honest throughout the home-buying process. I work closely with my clients to help them prepare mentally and financially, because buying a home isn’t just a transaction—it’s a major life decision with a lot of moving parts.

What sets me apart is my commitment to guiding clients through the entire journey, even when it takes time. I spend a lot of time upfront educating my clients, helping them get their credit and finances in order, and setting realistic expectations so there are no surprises. Not every path is quick or easy, but for the clients who stick with it, crossing the finish line and handing them the keys to their home is what makes this work so rewarding.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Consistency and commitment. Real estate isn’t always fast or easy, and a lot of my success comes from staying committed to my clients and the process, even when things take time. I show up, communicate, and follow through. When clients know they can trust me to guide them honestly and stay with them from start to finish, everything else falls into place.
