As the founder of Mosaic Legal Support Services, my journey has been deeply personal and driven by a passion for helping others navigate the complexities of estate planning and pre-need funeral arrangements. With over 15 years of experience as a Paralegal in various areas of civil litigation, such as wrongful death, personal injury, retail, non-subrogation worker compensation, and medical malpractice—I have witnessed firsthand the importance of preparation during life’s most difficult moments.
My commitment to this cause was shaped by the profound losses I experienced in my own life. In 2016, I organized my father’s funeral, and just six months later, I faced the heartbreaking task of arranging my paternal grandmother’s funeral. I supported my maternal grandmother during her final days and helped plan her funeral. These experiences opened my eyes to the emotional and logistical challenges families endure when unprepared for loss. I grew weary of seeing families torn apart due to the lack of planning, and it motivated me to take action.
In response to this need, I wrote an interactive book titled *Life’s BluePrint: Journaling Essential Information for Life’s Uncertainties*. This resource allows individuals to document their life stories and provides guidance for their loved ones in times of incapacity or death. It’s a tool designed to foster preparedness and alleviate some of the burdens that come with loss.
At Mosaic Legal Support Services, I collaborate with attorneys and Funeral Pre-Planning Consultants to provide my clients with comprehensive support in both estate planning and pre-need funeral arrangements. I prioritize building long-lasting relationships with my clients, ensuring they receive the highest quality service and guidance tailored to their unique situations.
Beyond my professional achievements, I hold a B.A. in Legal Studies and an A.A. in Paralegal Studies, and I am a licensed Pre-Need Funeral Consultant. These qualifications underscore my commitment to excellence in my field and my dedication to helping others prepare for life’s uncertainties with confidence and care.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth, especially when it comes to discussing topics like death and pre-planning. These conversations are often uncomfortable for many people, and in some cultures, they can even be considered taboo. I quickly learned the importance of meeting people where they are. It’s essential to acknowledge that while these discussions can be difficult, they are also incredibly necessary.
I often share my personal journey of losing my dad unexpectedly and the subsequent challenges I faced, particularly when navigating probate court because he didn’t have a will. This experience taught me how crucial proper documentation is and how its absence can complicate the process of caring for loved ones during an already emotional time.
When I open up about my story, I find that it creates a connection with others, allowing them to feel more comfortable sharing their own experiences. This mutual understanding fosters a more open dialogue, making people more receptive to engaging in these tough conversations. By sharing my challenges and insights, I hope to encourage others to prioritize their planning and prepare for the uncertainties ahead.

Define what your mission is and the problem your business aims to solve. This will guide your decisions and help you stay aligned with your overall goals. I would also say to embrace flexibility. Be prepared to adapt your business model or strategies as you learn more about your market. Being flexible will be the key to overcoming obstacles and seizing new opportunities that comes your way.
