Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinitee Nunez
Trinitee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2019 at the age of sixteen my mother helped enrolled me into a one day lash extension course to help kickstart my journey into becoming an entrepreneur. To help fund my small business I would work small jobs during the day and practice lashing on my off days on friends and family members. in March of 2021 I officially quit my job and went full time with my lashing business. Lash extensions had become extremely popular around this time so I began getting booked up very quickly all while doing this all in my home ! As a year went by I enrolled myself into an Eyelash Extension specialty course in the summer of 2022 in order to obtain my license in lash extensions and in three months time I obtained one. As I continued with my lash business I slowly began to get burnt out from performing the same service everyday so I looked into esthetician school and other services such as facials and waxing. My interest for other services grew profoundly so I enrolled myself again into school to obtain my second license in February of 2023, but this time to become an esthetician. I enrolled into the full time course which consisted of me being there for six months from 8 am to 4:30 pm, five days out of the week. I later graduated on my birthday, August 31, 2023 and obtained my license two weeks later. I now am double licensed and a full time business owner that is suite based in Arlington, specializing in facials, lash extensions, body waxing and brow services!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My Path to being a business owner has not been smooth, During my four years in business I experienced the passing of my father, some encounters with unsatisfied and difficult clients, the passing of both of my great grandparents, Financial losses, and slow business due to school taking away all of my time making it hard for me to be able to pay for shop rent. My path as a business owner has been a struggle but these struggles have helped shape me into the woman and business owner that I am, so I am very appreciative to have been able to experience adversity to help reveal how strong I truly am.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Lanae Skin Studio?
I am a Licensed Esthetician based in Arlington that specializes in corrective skin care and acne treatments, body waxing and lash extensions and me being able to specialize in all of these treatments and provide my clients with more than one service during an appointment helps set me apart from others.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see the Esthetics industry becoming a lot more advanced in technology and services becoming more dependent on technology. I also see Esthetics growing in the amount of people becoming an esthetician
